How would one build a 0.5 ohm Clapton that would fit in the subtank. This would be my first attempt at a Clapton cloil, I have 26 g kanthal and going out later today to pick up a smaller gauge. I was thinking 32 g but I want it to come out to 0.5. anyone here have a 0.5 Clapton that can help me!?
For the core just use the same kind of wire you'd normally use to hit desired resistance and then wrap it. Since the wrap wire is going to have an insanely high resistance, you won't see a significant difference (if any) on the meter.

rba, or rebuild the v1 body? I've done both. Rebuilding the v1 body it's a bit tough to get a good connection at the base without de-Claptoning the ends. The rubber is a bit soft, and deformes ez. Also ot tended to melt rather ez too. I had the best luck with 26g and a 32-34g wrap, 3 to 4 turns, any more and the leads heat too much before good vapor production. The taste is worse than one can imagine. Just imagine a horrible, HORRIBLE taste, I don't recommend trying it to prove it to yourself. Really. Personally, I gave up on rebuilding the body with a Clapton, and now stick with doing it in the rba deck. Getting a good connection is to problematic, the wicking is a little tricky at times for a good consistent vape, tends to flood, and they are not as rigid as a standard coil for assembly. I, however, quite prefer a Clapton in the rba to almost any other build in the RBA. Although, I still experiment. Always experimenting!
Just my experience, and I almost always use rebuilt v1 bodys, as I hate buying new attys.
Luck! And vape on!
