The truth, rather apparently, is that a non-monetized "courtesy" (the Classified section) is of little importance to a commercial enterprise (ECF).

Personally I think they should do away with verification and open the classified forum to everyone. Works well on other forums. Between trade ratings and word of mouth very few get burned.

+1 obviously the current system is not working. I hope ECF is listening here and do something about it.

Not really surprising, PayPal has made it clear they want very little to do with vaping transactions. Of course an open buy, sell, and trade forum would effectively eliminate that particular issue.

For me it is very surprising.... I use PayPal for almost all my vaping transaction... not only from China but USA. So PayPal have no problem with Fastech, 3Fvape but create glitch for ECF??? Weird....very weird.

What does the packages say on the label when you pay with pp. PP only has issues in the US due to our government's attitude toward vaping. PP probably doesn't care about vaping itself, just the regulations and legalities that could possibly effect their business directly.

I still do not get it how PayPal can affect verification process... and even if it does (my payment of $1 went through without problem) it does not explain why ECF is still making people to use PayPal as one of ways to be verified. If something is not working for months it should be known to all new members who read and follow verification instruction on ECF site.

PP could also just be an excuse. Truth is we simply don't know and ECF been hasn't been forthcoming with useful info. At least as vaper's we do have other avenues available to find good used gear for sale. Just not as convenient as it would be if ecf offered a working system here.

Add to the fact that he is a very busy individual and the ONLY one that does verifications due to the sensitive nature of the information provided, verifications can take longer than usual. We're not paid here. We're all volunteers and sometimes life gets in the way of our duties here.

Oh, and the classifieds will not be opened to all. Due to scams and thefts that have happened in the past, we will continue to verify all who request access.

I understand he's busy and there's a verification process but I went through the process about 5 months ago. I've been patiently waiting and will continue to wait but after so long I would have thought they'd have cleared up the glitch. I'm just saying......

Yes, classies work just fine for us who are previously verified. And the reposting of a 5 month old 'explanation' by a member who has apparently vanished? Joker

Should give some inkling of how moderation/administration works around here. And is why I'll never be a supporting member.

You should be transparent then and tell people that they will be waiting months, as the poster pointed out below who has been waiting 5 months. That's ridiculous, I wouldn't have bothered registering if I knew that, but you'll gladly continue to take the registration fee, right? Sounds like the admins around here need to get their _____ together. As for you guys doing this on a voluntary basis, I'm sure I speak for many when I say that it's greatly appreciated, but be up front with people, that's all.
