so, this local juice line by me has been blowing up. I tried it and it was some good juice. I messaged the company to see if they're was any diacetyl in the juice or ap and they said , we haven't gotten our test results back yet so if you are worried about diacetyl or ap we recommend not vaping our juice. Now this other shop by me makes this juice and they have it in big bottles and mix it right in front of you. Should I worry about diacetyl or ap or anything else being in the juice? I'm just a worry some vaper even though I know it's still better for you then cigarettes.

If lab reports are not supplied for the juice I vape, I don't buy it. I also do not go by someones word either. There have been a lot of sellers lie about it. A lot of people still vape juice with those in it because the amounts are very low. I do not. Plenty of juice makers without diketones.

Nothing wrong with wanting to know what's in your juice you vape. Have you considered making your own? That way you know exactly what's in it.
That is what got me started making my own juice years ago. I told myself if i am goign to be doing this to be healthier than smoking, i needed to make it as healthy as possible so ive been making my own juice to control what is in it. NudeNicotine has been my go to place. I just trust them when it comes to vg pg nic, i also like some of their flavor concentrates they sell. Cactus Cooler, Very Berry, Melon Madness, and MAKE ME PLUM (fav they make) They also sell pre made juice if DIY isnt your thing but they also do lab testing on their stuff as well as for other Juice manufacturers.

See they posted a picture of the lab and said this is where our juice is made and I mean I know the guy that owns the shop and makes the juice so i'm just iffy o it and don't know What tl think lol
You can have a 100% Clean room that is 100% environmentally controlled and purified, it wont make a difference if the ingredients you are using have undesirable contents.

Diketones are not something someone/anybody in the vape industry goes out of the way to add to the juice. It is there because most the flavoring companies that exist/existed at the beginning and now were not about making vape flavorings. Companies have been making a shift though. TPA/TFA has gone out of their way to provide flavors that previously had diketones and offer a diketone free version. So unless you know what the flavoring recipe is and where the flavorings are sourced from for the recipe the only other way is with a CG/MS Results sheet.

I go with a very simple motto. When in doubt throw it out.

Now, that said you could likely get away vaping low amounts of it and be fine, but you would want to know for sure what is in it for the long term. You dont need the guy's recipes. It is unfortunate that a just manufacturer/shop/vendor has no idea what is in their juice. It shows a lack of care if they havent even attempted to research it. You can take him for his word. But if you are OCD like me about knowing what is in it.... well it may keep you up at night worrying. I am a nutjob though. If a bath/shower towel touches the floor it is immediately dirty, just one example :D.

I wont tell you what to do with your body. If it were me i wouldnt vape it.

Let me ask you this. Does this guy's juices have colorings in them? Like are any of them red, orange, green, blue, etc any of them colorful?

@Johnnyvapor18 - IMO, no one else can make that decision for you. Everyone who vapes has to decide for him/herself what is acceptable to be in the eliquid they vape. If it makes you feel uncomfortable though, not knowing if theirs is diketone free...just don't buy it any more. There are plenty of other vendors who gladly post online or would let you know if they're in their eliquids.

Exactly! 100% agree. It is a personal choice/risk.

Exactly correct.

They can buy the best ingredients, set up a clean room to be as safe as possible.

But still they have to get their flavors from somewhere. Many flavor companies do not release their ingredients that go into flavors.

If you want to avoide diacetyl, and diketones avoid battery, and custard or creamy flavors.

@Two_Bears - You did mean "buttery" up there...right? Not trying to pick at you, just making sure it's clear for the OP.

Also, I've been amazed at some of the flavorings that do have diacetyl, acetoin and/or Acetylpropionyl when I thought they probably wouldn't, and some that don't have any of those...that I thought probably would!

I really like using TFA flavorings in my DIY eliquids, because they tell you exactly what's in their flavorings, so therefore also what's going in my eliquids I make.

I also asked one of the workers there ( my friend ) when I was vaping their house juice and he said it is all clean. It's from the same guy.
How does he know, does he understand what diketones are? If he can make that claim then ask for the data sheet or what makes him believe it is clean. If his answers satisfy your curiosity then decide. Information.

I get one of these on all my nic vg pg etc i get from NN.

Yes i have dyslexia and have been saying CGMS when it is GCMS.... Everybody laugh now :D anyway.

That is the peace of mind i search for :D diketone free solutions. Purity. Care.

That was the general rule of thumb. Recently TPA/TFA (flavor apprentice) has released some diketone free flavoring concentrates that surprised me. One in particular that i use/remember is Peach... had no idea they had some in it prior. Of course they also have a diketone free Sweet Creme now too!
