Using the 2.4 ohm stardust redux rebuildable. vaping a few different flavors in a few different clearos. All menthol. Seems like after a short time vaping, the flavors go dull. My first thought is that my mouth is getting accustomed to the flavor and mutes out the taste after a while, much like wearing cologne that everyone else can smell cept for myself. But at the same time, the experience is not as apparent using my old 1.8 non-rebuildable clearos. For a while I was thinking these sweeter flavors were the culprit, but should I be cleaning them daily after average amounts of vaping? I have a fruit punch flavor that it seems like everyone can smell the pleasant aroma but I can barely taste it. The wicks have became stained and remained somewhat stained even after cleaining, is it time to replace those? I went back to vaping a butter toffee flavor in my old clearo and I can taste the flavor somewhat more consistently.

And these wicks... are they going bad when the strands start to unwind after several washes/dry burns?

Any thoughts on this? I'm kind of flying through this post while at work so I hope I covered everything.

I gave up on clearos due to muted flavor issues. I guess I just don't care for silica. Have you tried using other juice delivery systems to see if it is 1) your tastes changed 2) the clearo? That would be the only way for you to tell, since everyone is and individual with different tastes.

Well only regular CE4's, the rebuildables, a T3 (leak issues, subject of another thread, vaped nice while it worked though) and a 3ml Triple V Polypro Tank that came with my start up kit (never was a huge fan it it, that bled out too and I stopped using it).

I plan on doing a major equipment overhaul/test next payday, just trying to figure some things out for now...

Many time if I don't pull in to my lungs the flavor is much richer. Smell and ejuice is somewhat a letdown usually. Got some juices that smell gorgeous, but taste like soap.
You forgot to mention HW. Rebulding your coils or buying new ones? I can fail at rebuilding head and there will be no taste or it will burn from hot spot. Higher resistance head = more voltage or you won't have vapor production and flavor.
I'm experiencing muted flavor from ejuice that lacks strong flavor after about 6 hours of vaping. And it's accelerated if I drink a lot of coffee.
There are some flavors that never go away, like tobacco in serendipity.

I've been replacing the coils/wicks as needed... I'm wondering too at what point do I clean or just change em out, I don't know if it's my taste buds, the strength of flavor (these are 50/50 btw) or the clearo's themselves. They've been doing enough for me to just make due, but it would be nice to possibly achieve all day vape and actually taste the juice.
