You should have gotten a little allen (sp?) wrench with your GLV. You can use that tool to unscrew and clean out the area just under the V in GLV. There's a little screw thing in there that can get sooty. Clean, reinsert and use the tool to tighten. The new ones I've purchased are 3 and 5 months old haven't needed cleaning except for some Mother's polish on a soft cloth for the exterior of the mod's aluminum area. I've put Nolax on the threads once.

I bought one in the classy section and needed to send it in for a new atty pin replacement. If it was made before March of this year you have the old atty pin. No big deal if it's working ok. The one I bought wouldn't take a 510. Bummer but on the bright side, I'm getting a new paint job while it's there :) Sara and Jay are fabulous. Calling the number on the website is faster than email. Love my GLVs!
