Ego-T 1000mAH battery questions

Hello there fellow vapers!

I have a ego-kit that I purchased from Cignot =). Sometimes the battery connects where the atomizer and battery screw in get a blackish crust. I suppose it's from a little e liquid getting in there. Now here is my question. I can clean the battery connections with paper towel or Qtip, but the crust is all getting into the charging where it screws in, making a kind of grinding sound. i know sound rough lol. Well I got some paper towel pieces and wrapped it around a knife and carefully cleaned the part where the battery screws into. what is the best way for me to clean/maintain my ego 1000mAH battery and usb charger. Because the method i tried was a real pain. Other then that my ego-tank work good enough until I get a mod. so any thoughts on this will be most welcome.

I use a q-tip on the connection each time I change the battery, kept it clean. If it is really thick, wet the q-tip just a little to get all the gunk out.

I use rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. Works well, also good for cleaning atty and (for me) the tank. Helps dissolve the gunk.

Yeah - I keep a Q-Tip beside my chargers all of the time and wipe my batt threads before plugging them in. About once a week I clean all my batt and charger threads with an alcohol-soaked Q-Tip.

Alcohol or PGA works very well to clean that,, I would give it a really good cleaning, get it all off, then once a day give it a quick Q-tip cleaning and it will be much easier once you have it clean

Sounds like a plan. I can easily clean the battery most every time just to be on the sure side. Now i just need a batter way to clean the charger port.

Black crust... that could possibly be a leaking battery... I've never had black crust on any connection unless a battery was leaking. Then again I wipe out the connection every time I change cartos or attys.

Hmm.....I do not think the Qtips I use will fit in the charger, but I will take I will take a look at it, and if it's to big I'll purchase cheaper Qtips with less cotton of the tip lol

do all your tanks leak onto the battery? or is it just your current one?

It could be dark, sweet juice that's making it look like black crust?

I use isopropyl alcohol and it does a good job, it dries super quick too.

Could be oxidation I clean with a q-tip before putting on the charger
