I'm actually copying and pasting this from the General E-Smoking Discussion Forum because I didn't realize Reos Mods had their own sub-forum! Any help would be great.

"Hey all, I have a REO Grand that I purchased in January. I love it, and it's entered the rotation as a staple PV. I use it almost as much, and possibly more than, my ProVari... especially when I'm out and about. I misplaced the instructions a long time ago and I'm not even sure if this information is on there. What's the best way to clear the feed tube of previous flavors?

A lot of times when I change the juice bottle (and am putting a new flavor in), gently blowing in through the atty is enough to push the excess juice from the feeding tube into a waiting paper towel. I tend towards fruit flavors heavily, so most of my juice is completely inoffensive to mix ever so slightly as the new flavor fills the feed tube and bottom of the catch-cup. I find most times blowing out the old juice and wiping the catch-cup clean is enough as long as the atomizer is completely clear of flavor via newness or Want2Vape Atty Refresher.

If the flavor I'm changing to is really radically different or a bit hard to get out, I'll take out the bottle off, take off the atty, then fill the catch-cup up halfway with Atty Refresher and REALLY gently blow it through the feed tube into a paper towel. That usually works, too.

Point is, I used a flavor I just can't get the rest of out (MEL's Watermelon Ice). Usually light colored juices with a light fruit flavor aren't so problematic but I'm still getting little whiffs of intense watermelon all about and all the time. So, as previously asked, what's the best way to clean it out other than what I've been doing? I was thinking maybe one thing I could do was put about an mL of Atty refresher or Ms. T's Unflavored in a bottle and stick it in and vape it for a while... but there are probably better ways. Or maybe there aren't, I don't know!"

posted in your other thread, check it dirtyvapes, hot water buddy, thats all it needs,,, you can also do a bottle of PGA after the first bottle of hot water then PGA then more hot water
Can you tell me what PGA stands for? In my mind it is the Professional Golf Association. I don't know how to clean these tubes either.

  1. Remove bottle, battery, and atomizer
  2. Fill bottle to the brim with PGA or 91-99% isopropyl alcohol
  3. Install it in your Reo
  4. Fill reservoir with PGA or isopropyl alcohol
  5. Squeeze the bottle until all the air is forced out of the feed tube (PGA/alcohol will be sucked back down)
  6. Let it soak overnight
  7. Dump the PGA/alchol and dry everything out with a hair dryer
  8. Reload with e-liquid, battery, and atomizer and vape on

Get a few spare o-rings and soak them separately when changing flavors. Just swap for a clean one when changing flavors.

3 mL bottles: 7/32" I.D. - 11/32 O.D. - 1/16" W Buna-N 70 O-Ring
6 mL bottles: 3/8" I.D. - 1/2" O.D. - 1/16" W Buna-N 70 O-Ring

Yes I'll let you know! I have to hunt down a few things (such as the PGA) and then care enough to clean it. I'm slowly working my way through 60 mLs of Blu Spot in my REO right now so have no immediate need for cleaning... mm mm :thumb: The Watermelon Ice has, thankfully, mostly faded. But I do want to clean it eventually! I also have no spare tube and need to send in my ProVari for the V2 upgrade, so I don't want to be without the full use of my REO for... any amount of time. I'll just do the soaking overnight. And order a spare tube?

This. It seems to me that the O-ring retains a bunch of flavour. I picked up a mini from the classies that had a mint/menthol tone that I tried to vape through, but after 12ml, it was still there. I boiled the REO a couple times, but it was still there. So, what I did was remove the cap from the tube, and fished the O-ring out with a toothpick, and soaked everything in PGA overnight. Took it all out, blew out the tube, and let it dry while I was at work all day. When I got home later, it was dry and wonderfully free of the mint. That's the way I clean my REOs now.

I expect Vodka would work in place of PGA, but I'd want to do a rinse in water afterward; Vodka does have some of its own flavour that I can't imagine would taste very good when vaping.

Hey if someone sees this I need help! Went to clean my REO today, but I couldn't get the feed tube detached. It seemed to be embedded pretty deep in the top of the device and I was afraid too hard. can someone tell me whether or not it can be safely taken off and easily reattached? I still haven't sent my ProVari in for the V2 upgrade and I want to do it on Monday, so the last thing I wanna do is mess up my REO. Probably just being overly cautious, but still.

I never take the tube off to clean my REO, I just fill the catch cup with vodka and let it flow thru the tube. If it sits there, it will dissolve thru what ever is gunked (that is the proper scientific term), up in the tube/catch cup. The only time I have ever removed the tube was when I had a tube that was leaking, my fault by the way, and had to replace it.

Oh okay, that makes sense. Maybe I should put on a bottle that is on its way out and can't really be used for juice anymore, then feed some vodka through the tube until the bottle is full and let it sit for a while? That seems like a better plan. Fortunately I didn't remove it because I felt like that might be the case (that it shouldn't be removed).
