My juice is a clear color. But every time I use it, the wick turns brown and it just tastes wrong. I'm thinking the tube needs cleaned but I have no idea how to do that. I've boiled the RM2 and put a fresh coil on it. But I'm guesing some other juice in the tube is mixing with the bottled on its way through.

too much heat- you're cooking the juice and when squonking, the cooked liquid goes down into the bottle. try a higher ohm coil.

I didn't say what ohms my build actually was...but I'm not sub ohming here. In fact it's not that low at all, I'm running at 1.7 ohms here. It definitely isn't tasting burnt. But I had been trying different juices, and have gotten them mixed in the tube somehow. So how do I get the tube cleaned out?

If it's a metal Reo, just clean it in the sink with a toothbrush and some dish soap. Run hot water through the connector to flush it out good.

Solace is right, sounds like you could be cooking your juice. I've noticed on my own Reos some flavors take the heat better than others. Some flavors you will have to build a higher ohm coil for them to taste and act right. It's a matter of experimentation finding out what ohm coil works best with the juice/juices you use. What is perfect for one juice may be horrible for another.

One thing I've been doing with my coils is putting the cap on and looking through the hole. For me when I can see the middle of the coil, as opposed to the top or bottom, that seems to be the best position for me. This is slightly higher than where I was putting my coils originally.

I got wordy. Simply put trial and error to get your coils the way you like.

happens to me at the same ohms- was the first thing that came to mind- all depends on the juice! and the wick thickness..

running hot water through the tube and out through the top of the Reo will clean out any remnants of previous juice.

BlueSnake is right on- trial and error..

or even get a syringe on the tube and force water through...

maybe bicarbonate and white vinegar but you will have to wash it again after to get the vin taste out

its most probably not the case with yours as you boiled the rm2 but I sometimes get previous juice rise from under the deck, I normally shake the rm2 after blowing it through to get anything out

or maybe just change the tube if you have another... just pull it off and push a new one on with pliers or tweezers if you cant get your hand in to do it....

Thanks! Claning that tube out definitely fixed it. I have the voltage turned way down for this particular juice already. so it really shouldn't be cooking with a 1.7 coil right?

I, personally, change out tubes when switching juices that have different profiles (fruity to custard, tobacco to dessert), as I find that no measure of cleaning can get those flavors all the way out. Luckily, Rob will sell you lengths of tubing for pennies. I think he charged me $1/foot, so I buy 4' lengths at a go. I never have to worry about flavors carrying over again.
