Unscrewed the knurled bottom part (not the metal above it, just the knurled part) over the sink, unscrew the mouthpiece, rinse all under hot water until the wicks come clean. Pat the wicks with towel/paper towel. Set on paper towel to air dry.

Do not boil.

You could detach the coil head from the post, but there really isn't a reason for it. Also, when rinsing -- DO NOT LOSE THAT POINTY WHITE RUBBER PIECE on top of the coil assembly. And be careful not to lose the tiny o-ring on the mouthpiece. You need those things.

After you have soaked and rinsed the sections, I use paper (vaper) towel and give the tank a good going through to remove any dry residue. I also blow out the bottom base both ways (coil not attached!) I find water really likes to hide in there so I will get a tip of vaper towel in there to wick away any moisture then let them dry for awhile. Use more vaper towel to gently squeeze the wicks of any excess water - this will help the drying time tremendously.

If the wicks aren't totally dry that's ok but you might get a really light hit or two at first. When I refill them I put enough juice in for the wicks to saturate and let it sit a minute or two then top them off to the bottom of the rubber boot.

I recently came across something very interesting in regards to the iclear 16. If you are noticing that your iclear has become much harder to draw. Sometimes cleaning isn't he problem. I just bought a new head and was still having the same problem as before. However I found a solution.

Believe it or not. Sometimes the screw part on the tip slides down a little but. Pushing it back up towards the top has it working like new. I was surprised that this was the problem but it is working so much better!
