Hi!

I've finally gotten to a point where my desk is a freakin disaster zone! I'm just over 30 days into my new vaping obsession.

This afternoon I'm intent on organizing my space and getting ready to clean used 808 cartos. I was wondering if it is ok to let condoms and the white mouth caps (both hard plastic and soft rubber) soak in alcohol for an indefinite period of time.

My thoughts are, when I've refilled a carto a few times and it's ready for the "needs cleaned" pile, pop off the mouth piece - and toss in a container full of alcohol, the carto in another container until I get around to a cleaning session. I've also been soaking condoms I've used to quickly fill or when I use them to catch any excess when spinning. I've had quite a few that have been soaking for about a week now. They seem fine, but if keeping them soaking this way between cleanings is a no-no - I'd be grateful if someone would let me know!

If you have any organization tips - these would also be much, much appreciated!!

Too funny - already bought that little 3 drawer organizer! Great thread link and thanks alot!

Wow..I did do a search, but my mistake was cleaning and organization in the same search. Now that I went through the whole thread, I'm taking my lil 3 drawer thing back and going for the $20 thing from Lowe's (Otbg?). That set up seriously rocks!! Thanks so much again for the link - whoda thought PIF would have what I was looking for!!!

lol, not that I don't appreciate this method (it's crossed my mind - believe me) - just trying to do the green thing and also get a lil mileage out of my funds! :D

I go by the "what is my time and effort worth to me analysis". To me, messing around with methods that don't reaaaalllly clean the coil, just to get an extra fill or two just don't justify the savings.

The only cartos that I have successfully cleaned are my Go-Gos, only because you can actually disassemble, re-assemble, dry burn and clean the coil. My Bloogs and echo-e's? Chuck.

Yeah, the gunk on the coil can't be removed by simple cleaning; and cartos cannot be dry burned.

If I get 5-7 ml of eliquid through a carto, I'm happy. They are disposable.

Oh, and I recycle--I put the used ones in a can and the can, when full, goes into my recycling bin...

Roland, how do you like the Echo-e cartos?

Thanks, that's what I thought, based on the reviews (and their resistance).

You're a doll!:)

Np. I had the best 510 carto luck for flavour and TH with clear tube modded CE2's with a larger notch cut around the wick. Going to give those a run with the booster sometime this week.

Which makes me remember that I did successfully clean CE2's a couple of times. But again the PITA maintenance time and cleaning regimen didn't balance against the higher cost but happier experience of new cartos.

In money and health, I'm way ahead of the smoking game.

I'm a new vapor and this is great for me. Two sizes of drawers and lots of them.

I fill carto, put plastic tips back on, store in correct flavor drawer. If I don't have time to refill, I put it in without the plastic tips. (Drawers are large enough that my juice is also in the same drawer)

I'm sure I'll have to move out the sewing supplies soon!
