There are many on this forum that say that you shouldn't "clean" the Aspire BVCs; that they are designed to be used and then discarded when you get a funky taste or poor performance. Personally, I regularly rinse my coils in clear hot water (under a running tap). By regularly, I mean every couple of days. By cleaning the coils more frequently, the chance of build up is minimized, even when using heavy VG e-liquid. If I've been using a particularly strong tasting juice, I'll give the coil a vodka bath for a couple of hours (after the water rinse); I keep a small amount of vodka in a baby food jar just for this purpose. I never dry burn the coils, as this practice could definitely destroy the wicking material and once the material is scorched, its useless; you'll always get a burnt taste. Instead, I will set the washed coils aside for a day or two and let them air dry. If you have two or three coils on the go, you will always have a fresh "cleaned" coil available to use. Right or wrong, this is what I do and it works for me. I generally vape 4-5ml of e-liquid per day and prefer 60/40 PG/VG ratios. I have not noticed any degradation or breakdown in my coils and I regularly get many weeks of use from one coil.

Ultimately, you have to decide for yourself if this method is safe and will work for you.

Yeah I don't dry burn any more cause it gives me a burnt taste. I have some rubbing alcohol that is 90% alcohol that I use to get rid of flavor ghosting. Would it be ok to soak a coil in this?

Good question and, unfortunately, I don't have the answer. I do know that all of the posts that I've read concerning cleaning our equipment, including coils, recommend the use of a consumable (drinkable) alcohol, i.e. vodka or absolute. I don't know if denatured or rubbing alcohol could leave behind harmful residue 8-o

I would not use rubbing/ denatured alcohol. It is not same to ingest, so why take the chance that it leaves behind nastiness. Get some vodka or ever clear if you want to try alcohol. I soak em for an hour or a day, blow through the holes on the bottom, let 'em soak some more, then let them dry. Get two or three go arounds this way from gunky juice like high VG or some of the Naturally extracted tobaccos. But, as others said, once it's burnt, it's burnt.
