Cleaning atomizer and refilling carts

Is it ok to clean the atomizer on my Riva 901 by dipping it in rubbing alcohol and drying?
How much liquid in the cart with the fiber insert, or whatever it is? I'm thinking it needs to be wet, but not to the point of running when tipped on end.

I soak myy atomizers in 91% Isopropyl Alcohol for about 15 minutes every week or so and let them dry overnight. Doesn't hurt them at all.

A little less than a ml will fit in a cart. It's probably more like .8ml, but I never measured it out. I just filled them until the filler was slightly glossy.

There are many threads on cleaning attys using things ranging from hot water and steam to all types of alcohol and even ultrasonic methods. Any will work but if you use a no potable alcohol (denatured, isoporpyl or methanol) remember they are poisonous or have poisons added to them. It is very important to leave them dry overnight so that all of the alcohol evaporates.

808 cartos I think can be used on 901s....some one correct me if Im wrong. I do know they make adapters to use cartomizors for the 901s which is a heck a lot more convienent that filling carts....just a suggestion.

After cleaning, I noticed that it takes a few minutes before vapor starts producing normally. Is this something that you see as well?

Quite normal, if you drip 4-5 drops of juice right onto the mesh and let it soak in for 10-15 mins it will jump start you, gives that bright shiny clean atty some primer to start with.

They require an adapter. You need a 901 to 808 aka 901 to KR808D-1 adapter to provide the the air intake notches so the cartomizer can get air (because the 901 battery expect the air intake to be in the side of its atomizer).

Going the other direction needs no adapter - a KR808D-1 battery can use a DSE901 atty w/ no adapter because the DSE901 atty has its own air intake hole.
