Depends on the juice you use. I let mine drain overnight. To do a good cleaning to remove the caked on juice, I soak in white vinegar for about an hour, rinse in hot water, let dry overnight. Do a quick dry burn until you see the coil glow. Drip a couple of drops onto it, then vape away. I drip by the way.

Edit: I clean mine once a week with the white vinegar.

is draining overnight a preventative measure in keeping the ejuice from caking on the atomizer coil? i havent found it necessary to dry burn as my atomizer is fairly new and glows orange properly.

People claim that it makes them last longer by letting them drain. I have one atty that is going on 3 months and only gets a weekly bath. If I'm vaping dark juices, then I let them drain. As long as you can see orange and vapor production is going strong, you're fine. Also, if using an automatic battery, remove the atty just in case it leaks down the sensor hole. Manual batteries would be okay to leave attached but I would still drain them at least every other day.

I bought a JOYE510 starter set over 5 months ago and have never cleaned the atomizers.
They work just as good as the day I got them.

I thought about cleaning them, people say it makes them better. I dunno......

if it ain't broken, don't fix it. comes to mind

Suppose it depends on the juice. Darker, heavier juices maybe?

Try this experiment...

1) Start with a clean or new atomizer
2) Use a light colored juice for a full day
3) The next morning blow the atomizer out into a paper towel
4) Notice that what you blew out was darker than what you put in

After that, you'll come to realize that draining overnight, or blowing them out once or twice each day, is a good idea.
