Just copying and pasting the directions I sent to my aunt on how I do it:

Lay down a paper towel and get together your cartomizers. Also grab a cup and fill with hot water.

Pull apart cartomizers, u can use a toothpick or something like that to take the caps off. In the cup of hot water put the carto caps, inner plastic ring, dirty condom caps and dirty drip tips. (Things u shouldn't boil). U may want to use gloves while taking apart ur cartos if u don't want to get the nic juice on u. If u absorb a lot of that thru ur skin u could get nic overdose symptoms.

After u have taken cartos apart drain of excess juice and rinse them out. If u see burnt filling, toss.

Use an old pot u don't care about and a drainer that can sit IN the pot while it boils. Some cartos are ruined if u just put directly on bottom of pot where heat is. So I bought this drainer for a couple bucks that sits in the pot and keeps the cartos off the direct heat of the bottom. I got a cheapie one that looks like this from walmart that I only use for carto cleaning: Good Grips Double Rod Strainer Stainless Steel 6" 38891

Boil water in pot. Add cartos to drainer under water line. Boil for 15 mins. Drain and rinse under lukewarm water. Repeat 2 more times, but for final drain and rinse of cartos, pour cup of drip tips, tops, etc into drainer too and rinse everything thoroughly.

Lay down a paper towel or 2. Put on it the tops and rings, condoms upside down to drain, blow out drip tips into sink and let drain on paper towel. Wipe down outsides of drip tips to avoid juice spots. Take cooling down cartos and wipe them off outsides with paper towels well so u don't have juice spots on them later. Then go to sink and blow out each carto really well. Blow into mouth piece and let water go out of battery end. VERY IMPORTANT STEP TO GET OUT THAT WATER!!

Set oven at 175. Put cartos on baking sheet, mouthpiece down, battery ends up. Don't just lay them down sideways on sheet. Bake for 30 mins. Take out and let cool. I am still experimenting with how long to bake so they are ready to use instantly. May want to let them sit at LEAST overnight too. If u try next day and draw is tight or u get a bad taste, they are probably still not dry enough.

If u have any questions, please let me know! This is a good video to watch: Cleaning a cartomizer by boiling - YouTube He does not use a metal drainer in the pot, I saw that from a different video, and I do think it helps. I think it is important to not expose the atomizer at the battery end to direct extreme heat like the bottom of the pot right about the flame on the stove, or the bottom of the baking sheet while baking in oven. I think it ruins some atomzers.

I'm using the Volt cartos so basically the same thing from what I've been told. I've used the turkeybaster method which I've only saw/heard about once on youtube. It worked perfectly. Then I just did the lanyard spin to get the water out and was good to go in 5 mins or so. I didn't have to let it dry for a day or 2. It did take maybe 10-15 drags to get the vapor flowing again but the the old flavor was gone. Quick and easy.

I was thinking of changing up my ecig (looking to go smaller and to a cartomizer) and started surfing around looking for info on a Bloog. I'd like to keep the my ego w/tank for home and try something a little smaller when I'm out and about.

How long have you used a Bloog? What do you like/dislike about it?

I've used the bloog for about a week and prior to that had a 510. So far I like everything about the bloog. It's got more vape than the 510 and the battery seems to last longer in it than the 510 battery. The bloog has a nice vape for me (a bit better than middle of the road I think) and it's perfect in size for going out. I like the taste of the flavours better in the bloog than in the 510. The bloog battery lasts anywhere from two to four hours depending on how much I'm vaping but that's ok because my kit has the charger so I just swap out the battery and charge the dead one. I always have one charging and the charger case is the same size as an iphone basically. I ordered an eGo for my husband who works 12 hr shifts. He needs the extra battery life and I also ordered one for me in automatic. I prefer auto :)

Just curious... What exactly is the turkeybaster method?

Never boil cartos. The filler material will change consistency and not wick properly.

Boiling cartos, hot water rinses, sonic cleaners, etc., will not clean the coils of your carto, which is really what you're trying to clean in the 1st place.

You can remove the filler material from horizontal coil cartos and dry-burn the coils, reassemble and you may get a few more fills before you have to do it again or toss them. You cannot dry-burn a vertical coil carto.

I used to clean cartos but I found my time and effort was not worth the few extra fills. I get much more enjoyment of busting a new carto out of a blister pack.

I have had good luck boiling cartos. Sometimes I have to toss one or 2, but most of them turn out white and work well. Unless I forget to blow them out or don't let them dry long enough lol. They don't work the same as a brand new carto. Brand new cartos are the best, nothing like filling up a brand new one and vaping from it. But if u do a good cleaning and drying, u still have a good working carto.

Here & There
I tried every method shown on you tube on the identical Volt cartos and cleaning does not work for me. The cartos take forever to dry and then they just never draw or taste the same. I think these are meant to be disposable to keep you buying them. I use them for 7 to 10 days now and thats all the life I've gotten out of them cleaned or not. And the juice I use is very thin so its not that.

Well I didnt make any modifications to my baster. I just popped off the top , put the carto in, then used a bowl of hot tap water and just sucked up water then pushed it back out for a few minues. Even with the carto inside the actual clar tube part of the baster it forces the water to move through the carto thus flushing out the old juice and seemed to clean it really well. I cant find the actual video that I saw using the method I just described, but it's out there somewhere.

Hey Preston Girl...I love my Bloog! Although I don't have anything to compare it with, it is really easy to use and I find that the batteries last longer than some people said they would. I was a PPD smoker and I use 2 or 3 full batteries a day...I am only on day 29, but out of my favorite carto's, I have yet to have to throw one out due to flavour or vape loss. I have converted several 'burners' to 'vapors' and they all use and love the Bloog. Although I know we are all new, and will likely change our preferences as we become veterans - the Bloog MaxxFusion is great. GrimmGreen gave a fab review on them if you want to check it out :)

Quick question...
Does anyone know if you can clean bloog cartomizers?

I watched a video on youtube that a guy used a syringe with the child cap...I did try it and it worked to get the old flavour out - but the carto never did taste the same - even after days of drying out :(

I've come to the conclusion that because cartomizers are meant to be a disposable item and already much cheaper than a pack of cigarettes, that even if I threw them out after one use, I'd be way ahead. But like most, I wanted to extend the life of anything I could and tried all the cleaning methods, only to conclude that washing, drying, and re-using one, is a fruitless attempt to have it vape like when it was new - that it was like trying to wash a cotton ball for reuse, it just was never as good as the first time. There's only ever going to be one first time with anything that has filler material.

So I've discovered that if I refill a carto just one time, two times at most, and then toss it, I'm paying the equivalent of a dollar a pack! Beyond that, for me the savings didn't justify the effort of the cleaning hassles... not to mention the not knowing which carto had what flavor, or had already been used past its useful life.

It's good to be back to the simplicity I first liked about cartos!
