Ah yes, so what IS the noticeable difference between PG and VG? I gather PG gives a better throat hit? Is there more to it than that?

Also, 808D-1 kanger for use with my Bloog battery and I will fill with VG juice. Good combo guys? I saw 5-packs of kangers on Canvape for $6.95 which is the lowest price I've seen so far for cartos.

Yep you got it. Right on both counts. It is the lowest price you will find in Canada.

PG is thinner, VG is much thicker.
PG is a better carrier of flavourings.
PG has a better throat hit, while VG produces a lot of vapor.
VG is also pretty sweet tasting.

Those are the important differences as far as vaping goes :)

So has anyone tried using Bloog batteries with some other standard carto that vapes nicely with VG? If so, please send me a link for the specific product that would do the trick.
The other thing is, in looking for a Bloog replacement..

I don't think this has been mentioned yet, but you can buy a small adapter to attach to your bloog battery that will hold a 510 carto. Here is a youtube video to show you what it looks like: 808/901 to 510 adapter Most Canadian vendors carry them, check with the vendor you are ordering from.
I absolutely agree that the ego twist variable voltage batteries are very nice to have, if you want to go larger.

One last thought, how sure are you guys about Jugheads? I don't mean to judge a book by it's cover but I checked it out quickly and the site seems kinda poorly designed.

The site is simple and to the point. I like them as they are :) Jughead's is a greatly valued vendor.

I saw 5-packs of kangers on Canvape for $6.95 which is the lowest price I've seen so far for cartos.

If you are going with them, pick up an adapter for $2.25, it will be worth having on hand. Great price on the kangers! To me there is little difference between the kangers and the Bloog cartos. They work just as well, even with vg. :)

Great info!! Thanks!!! I think I'll let the experimentations begin!!

Next on the agenda, mixing VG and PG.. I'm sure there's lots of info on this. Anyone want to post their personal 'best way to do it'?

What do you mean? Are you asking what ratios we mix it in, how we actually physically mix it, or something else? I just mix everything together when I DIY, then shake manually for approximately 5 minutes (yes, really, 5 minutes!) and that seems to blend it all quite well. When it's done it will be very opaque because of all the bubbles suspended in the mixture. These will dissipate as the mixture sits.

just to add a couple things,

Jugheads has arguably the best ejuice and prices (and service) in Canada, though most of them now are all VG.

Kanger makes cartos with both 510 and 808 connections so make sure you know which type you are buying if you choose this brand.

100% VG juice will vape and taste very different from 100% PG juice, so you may also want to try some 70/30 or 50/50 blends which give the best of both worlds.

I agree VG does change the flavour quite a bit and is sweeter but it is what ever you like that matters . VG juice that is the right consistancy to use in a carto is all you need . It is better to have VG juice that has been thined to the right proportions when you buy it but it isn't too hard to thin it a bit your self . Thickening it might be a tiny bit harder as you will have to pruchase some VG to add to it .

Hey Smile n' shine, interested in your suggestion. What's the difference between an 808D-1 carto and a 510 (other than the size of the attachment)?

And about mixing VG and PG, I assume ratios depend on personal taste, guess I'll just find out as I go along.

The threads are different, the actual cartomizer is the same (as long as it's the same brand and resistance). I don't like using adapters, I would buy whatever thread is used on your device, adapters can make the draw tighter.

If you are comparing similar cartos, the thread size may be the only difference. It would be like Bloog making a regular and 510 carto, the insides would be the same. But that is only doing a back to back comparison on the same make.

A fictitious example, (like Squish mentioned about the same brand & resistance) ACME Cartos (low resistance) are offered in 510 and 808. You wanted the 808, but messed up and ordered the 510 and are stuck with them, the vendor won't exchange them. No prob, just use the handy adapter! And, no this has never happened to me, but what if?

I have used a few 510 items with the 808's... like a star dust under emergency circumstances (dead egos). There is another adapter for that, but I don't recommend it...looks really weird together and they drain 808 batteries quickly.

I haven't had any issues, I have even used the 1.2 ml firebird clearo on an 808 battery with that adapter. :)

[***High fives Squish***] Exactly... adapter=510 options (IF you want to try anything new).

So if 510 cartos and 808s are basically the same thing then why would I want to get an adapter for 510s if my batts are 808? Wouldn't I be better off just buying 808 cartos, I mean, unless there is some inherent advantage to 510..

When you get your vg juice and blank 808 cartos....let us know how it goes!! :)

I also noticed that there is a disclaimer on their homepage saying the following:

"WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE WEATHER CONDITIONS & WHAT THEY MAY DUE TO YOUR ORDER?
HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND, Thank-you & Sorry"

I gotta say, that's not too encouraging, lol, when a company won't guarantee that the product at least arrives in proper condition.

What do you make of it?

SOunds like a translation error if my assumption that your order is coming from "off-shore". Being from Montreal no doubt you've heard of Mayor Drapeau's famouns speech and translation error in Beijing. Along with a myriad of others. I think I'm going to start a thread.

Nope, it's cause Jugheads is in Alberta and it's been ridiculously hot here lately. :)

Maybe this is an obvious question but is it safe to buy 100% VG and 100% PG and then experiment mixing in different ratios to get my own custom blend?

If you're talking about 100% PG and VG premixed juices, I can't see a problem with it. Good way to find your sweet spot, so far as flavour, vapour and throat-hit go.

Also, does anyone know if canadaejuice.com and electronic-cigz.com are reputable sites?

I've heard favourable reviews of both sites. Have you requested the list of suppliers up in the supplier sticky? You'll find the gamut of what's available in Canada.

I've ordered from both of these vendors and both are fantastic with customer service. They both have their own threads under the Canada Suppliers section in ECF and they have always answered all the questions that I have fired off to them in the past.
