Well I have no idea bout Greencig cartomizers but for the KR8's I just take off the white cap, remove the oring then run it under hot water, blowing through the mouth end a few times to force the water through and the juice out. When it looks and smells clean I give it three or four very long hard blows to get the rest of the water out and dab up the outside and inside edge with a paper towel. I refill right away but some let them dry out longer.

I recently had some that were going on 40 refills that I decided to clean a little more elaborately. I filled a shot glass 1/2 full with PGA (Everclear) then dropped 5 carts at a time into it. By tilting the glass you can fill the carts, then watch them drain out. Do it ten or fifteen times, then blow them out. Those carts had some browning to them, they turned out white. Back to the regular rotation...

I'm going to have to do that next time I rinse. Some of them I just can't seem to get the taste out of. Especially the green tea... that one just lingers and lingers :)

I've tried really strong rum... doesn't work.

With the stronger flavors, do you fill with other strong flavors? I have a couple that were filled with Mocha Frappaccino, Butterfinger and coffee, and it seems impossible to clean them out enough to load them up with a menthol juice.

I haven't had that issue yet but you could try refilling with a compatible flavor if it won't fully rinse out.

I'm with Taryn except I am one of those that leave them to dry overnight. Sometimes you can end up with a slight mix that is a pleasant surprise. I had one with Tasty Vapor Butter Rum, washed it out, put in Drewbacco #1 and it was terrific. A very slight undertone of the butter rum but with the cigarette flavor I was looking for. My BFF said it had a "pipe" type flavor and smell that we both really like.

Any thoughts from someone who has had much success at cleaning out their cartos of a video?

I've seen so many with reviews of refilling, but how bout cleaning them out? This could really prove helpful to us technique challenged folks.:D

I just put some of my cart through a clean last night. Was my first try at cleaning carts and I think it went quite well. As mentioned, I took the white cap off and took the o-ring out. Then let warm water flow through a bit, blow it out and repeat a couple of times. I let them sit on a paper towel overnight.

I refilled them this afternoon and am vaping on the first of the cleaned ones. It works great again!

I was amazed at the difference in how much liquid it took to refill them. I got about 10 extra drops in each, compared to just a normal refill. Probably compares to refilling a blank.
