I don't plunge from the battery end because I think it wastes too much juice. Plunging from the batt end, the juice has to travel up the center tube before it spills into the batting. Anything still in the tube after the plunge has to get blown out and gets wasted.

Hopefully, because there is very little surface tension, it gets pull right back down - reverse-plunger-style.

I've never had to blow one of mine out.

True...and plunging from the mouthpiece doesn't prevent juice from going through the center tube either.

However, it just seems to me (I've tried both methods) I have better results with filling from the mouthpiece and less waste.

You can tell me if this makes sense:

Filling from batt end: the juice spills on top of the batting and must soak down on it's own.

Filling from mouthpiece end: you're actually forcing the juice down in the proper direction...towards the batt end...

IDK...it's just always made more sense to me to fill from the top as you're applying a bit of force in the direction you want the juice to go..

Now if there was no center tube and juice hit batting immediately through the batt end, I'm sure I would fill this way.

I fill from the mouthpiece end also, and haven't tried from the battery end, mainly because it seems like a pain to wipe off the excess juice. (I have been really lucky about not 'bubbling up' when filling from the mouth piece so far, but even when I do get a blip, it's a tiny bit and easily wiped out.)

Thinking about it though, people often use the Taryn Spin or similar centrifugal force to try to make more juice move towards the battery end. Therefore, it isn't just 'wicking it up' efficiently on its' own. If you fill from the battery end, it soaks into the batting and is already saturating the end closest to the atty.

Just a thought... I bet there are a million perspectives on this one!

What I've been doing lately:

1) Put a .... plug on the battery end.

2) Fill an empty condom 1/2 - 2/3 full of juice (for an empty cart).

3) Insert the mouthpiece end of cart into the juice filled condom until it just touches the juice.

4) Drop the cart into an empty syringe tube, battery side down, and give it 10 or so spins.

5) Remove the condom and plug, wipe the residue, and vape away.

I think the biggest reason I fill from the bottom is so I can keep an eye on what's going on. Filling from the mouthpiece end the majority of the pressure is exerted in the airway tube rather than against the batting. So I suspect you're more likely to see partial fills. And from what I've read people saying (half to 3/4 condom from empty), that seems about right. I get a full condom and change into a still-vapable carto.

Whatever works. Juice is gettin' in the carto - we can't ask for much else, right? ;)

I open the end a fill with drops then taryn spin. I tries the plunger method and so on but i dont like excess juice in my mouth or cleaning the threads and blowing out if i overfill. I can also put more juice in this way. I found if i plunger and go more then 2/3 full i overfill. Have to blow out most the juice and really only should fill half way. It might be my fault in the way im doing it. For me its easier to drip and spin. Cause i can see whats going on. .... i found like adrenn plunging through the batt end works best for that method. I like to see what going on as well. But so far drip filling allows me to put more in and not get clogged or overfilled. And vapes better IMO. Just my thoughts but i also could be screwing it up.

The first time I tried the condom fill method I got juice in my mouth. After reading this tread I tried taking the cap off and filling it and it worked a lot better for me. No more juice in my mouth and I am not wasting any juice. Once I put it back together I roll it in my hand a few times and let it sit for a bit. I just wanted to thank everyone for thier ways to refill. I am new to this and I am learning a ton from everyone. :)

It may be worth filling from the battery end with the plunger (I prefer it) with the cap popped off so you can observe what's actually happening at least a time or two. That observation has improved my fills.

Remove the plunger SLOOWLY. You want to keep that vacuum as long as possible to draw what's still in the airway back out into the condom.

Just wanted to say thanks for this. Works brilliantly. Haven't flooded one since.

There's a 'lip' inside the outer cap that is supposed to catch juice during normal usage; It seems logical that during mouthpiece-end filling with the condom technique that some juice may get caught in this area. I can see how rolling/blowing would help get juice out of that area and help prevent juice-in-the-mouth syndrome...
