Cleaning clearomizers for first time use.

I bought some iClear 16 clearos, is it best to boil the heads and wicks, rather than just cleaning them with hot tap water before using?

Take a sniff of inside the clearo, if it has a funky or off smell then go through all the cleaning process. If it doesn't have any funky smell then I would just rinse out all the parts but leave the wicking dry.
