I've looked around quite a bit and I still haven't seen an answer to this so I thought I'd start a new thread.

Is there any way to really clean a clogged carto? I know that some people talk about soaking in grain alcohol overnight to get rid of a previous flavor, and that people say to rinse them with warm water, blow out, repeat.. But I haven't seen anything about clogged cartos. Also, I have yet to figure out exactly what is causing this. At first I thought that I was simply overfilling them, but now I'm starting to realize that it has to be something else.

I have 6 carts that I just rinsed out, all 6 of which were filled using the Taryn spin method. Three of them are clogged, the other three are perfectly fine.

Can I boil the cartos like other people do theirs? I figured the answer would be "no" considering the fact that the atomizer is built in on the carto of the 808, but it's definitely worth a shot if it can extend the lifespan of my cartos.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't forget they are made to be disposable. How many uses are you trying to get out of them?

Each of them have been refilled about 3-4 times. The batting inside still appears to be in perfect condition, it just seems like the center "passage" is clogged.

The only ones i have had that clogged were due to letting them dry out. I moved and left a bunch uncapped after use. can get air thru the hole but not the batting. Im gonna try to soak them in alcohol to see if they will free up.

I've wondered about that as well.

I think I might actually try boiling one to see if it helps..
