It won't ruin them, however I would suggest doing it a little differently than some of the videos that are around. Do you have broiler pot or a steamer insert? It's best to not let them sit directly on the bottom of the pot, if you do be prepared to lose about 15-20% of them.

Before you boil them.......

Do this, place them in a bowl of water for an hour or so (hot/cold it doesn't matter), then rubber band them together and run some hot water through them from the sink. The rubber band will keep them from falling all over the place under the hot water and allow the drain out.

This will rid them of the bulk of any residual juice, remove the rubber band and boil them. Then, blow them all out (or stick the bastor in the mouthpiece end and use it to blow them out) then set them out as you said, and they'll be fine.

Anytime radiated1, personally I think the best way is to soak them in Vodka or Everclear, but I'm not sure if you have either. Just flow as much water through them before boiling as possible to rid the bulk of the old flavorings out. If it's sunny in Mo, set them upside down on some paper towels outdoors in the sun to help speed up the drying process.

One thing I would recommend...try spinning out as much of the residue as possible before cleaning them. Use the taryn spin without closing off the end...leave room in the condom for the residual juice. I cleaned several at once and wasn't too happy with the results. I used the spin on the others in a later cleaning session and that little bit of work in the beginning saved time and trouble with the end and produced a much cleaner product. I also used the red "net" that cherry tomatoes are packed in as a further method of corralling them while running hot water through them. I also used SnowDragons hint and spun as much of the water out as possible and that really cut down on drying time :)

Good luck...and fill 'em with yummmyyy V4L juice!

I don't actually boil. If I'm gonna do a lot of carts (not often) I will boil water, take it off the stove and soak the carts in it for 15 minutes. Then I'd inject or soak them in vodka for 15 minutes (the flavor can be hard to clean out), and then back into hot water for 15 min.
