Hi all,
I just recently upgraded myself to the echo-e 1300 and it seems my echo-e cartomizers are only lasting a day or two before I can't get anything out of them anymore. Even the dual coils I bought this last round, no difference. Granted they lasted a little longer with clear juice, but I pretty much get only one fill with dark juice before they are done.
So now I have 5 pretty echo-e cartos that are useless to me now.
Has anyone had luck cleaning these? I need the simplest way if it works, as I don't have any ultrasonic cleaners, everclear etc. I've never really had much luck cleaning any of my old Xpower stuff (atomizers, cartomizers etc) but hoping I can get these echo-e's useable again. At $3.50 a pop, might as well just buy a pack of smokes :(

I have noticed that dark juices really clog cartomizers quickly. One thing I try that sometimes works, is a large needle, the kind you use for sewing with yarn. I carefully put it in the hole on the bottom all the way up out the top and wiggle it around. Sometimes that saves clogged cartos.

Cleaning usually doesn't help. I even bought a cleaning kit from SmokTek.

I am pretty sure I have the ECHO-E 510 single coil carts from health cabin. 5 for $15
I am on my 8th carto. (I would have used many more, but I also got a boge revolution I have been using) All of them have lasted for more than 3 days with the average of about a week. I fill mine multiple times a day. I started only filling them with about 1.5 ml at a time. The only darkish juice I have used is redbull from dekang 24ml PG. It seemed to do just fine, but the first few cartos only lasted 3-4 days, I think because I filled them so much ~ 2ml. I know this don't help cleaning them, but if they are still firing, you could try blowing them out as much as possible and letting them sit for a few days. I'm sure you prob already tried that though. Mine started to lose it's punch the more I dripped through the center hole by mistake. (dripping too fast or too much)

I'm not sure but, aren't those able to be dis-assembled and cleaned...repeatedly...if not, I would get some 1.7ohm Smoktechs and just toss after 20-25ml of juice has passed thru them..........

Can't take apart dual coils. Single coils you can but the airflow post is really wide for improved vapor and I haven't found the appropriate sized stirrer to rebuild.

So strange that you only get a day or so out of these. They really do last at least 3 days with thick juice or a week on thinner stuff. I used one for two weeks straight before at 75/25. Are you vaping that heavily? You may be just sogging the filler back up with condensation and they need time to air out. It's the cause of a big carto that gets hard to suck through more than people realize. And high VG just gets the filler soggier more quickly. Try switching between two a day and see if that helps. A wide holed 801 drip tip helps with condensation too. The only thing that cleans them well again is an alcohol flush with the carto cleaning kit. But see first if you have better luck with the smaller cartos. The boge 2.0 are a better fit. The echo-es (and the echo autos) seem to have saftey features that won't allow for too much drain on the battery. The ST 1.7 may not work properly.

if you take one of the little rubber condoms that come with various carts you can put it over the end of the cartimizer you fill it from then take and put it in a little sling or even a hankercheif and pin it in, then you can take and spin it counterclock wise this will pull all of the old juices out and when you refill it it should vape a little better, personally I would not fill these with over 2mls at a time that is still enough to last awhile, also I would not put these on a battery bigger than a ego battery because:evil: they will burn the filler inside very easilly if you do, I used to get plenty of vapor on a regular ego battery and when I tried anything higher such as a 3.7 devise or higher I just burnt the cartomizers and they tasted like trash

Well...the echos are designed for the 3.7v battery specifically. And need to be filled up first all the way. But that's excellent advice on removing the old juice and trying again.

Hmm. I love the Echo-E DCs and have had no trouble cleaning them, so far. I don't vape with them exclusively (like Stardusts very much). If I'm going to refill the Echo-Es with the same flavor, I just rinse them thoroughly several times under very warm (not hot) tap water, spin dry them (as above), then run them through a few 3-minute cycles in distilled water in a $20 ultrasonic cleaner, spin again and let them dry for a couple or three days.

If I'm changing flavors, I'll rinse thoroughly under warm water then use vodka in the ultrasonic and run 5 or 6 cycles, followed by a good rinse with distilled water (to get the alcohol taste out), spin dry, and let them completely dry over a couple of days.

I'm getting 2-3 weeks or more out of them.
