Cleaning extends life?

I currently have a iclear 30s and a Kanger Aerotank. I have noticed there are a lot of resources about cleaning these tanks (including the coils and wicks).

#1 What does cleaning accomplish?

A - Does it help neutralize the flavor, so that one can try another flavor?

B - Does it extend the life of the atomizer head somehow?

C - Something else?

#2 How long do the atomizer heads on these 2 devices last?

Okay, I'm new to vaping and am using different equipment from yours, but here's what I've noticed about cleaning coils.

Yes, it does help with the "bleed through" when changing flavors. If I've cleaned and dry-burned the coil before changing, I usually get only one or two hits of "combination" flavor (because there's really no way to get all of the e-juice out of the "flavor wick") , whereas if I haven't, I get quite a few before the new flavor seems to take over completely.

When the coils get really gunky, you get a burned taste, even at low voltage/wattage. Cleaning/dry-burning eliminates this and returns you to an unburned taste.

New coils for my set-up cost $3 each at my local brick-and-mortar vape shop, or I can order them online for about $1.60 each (including postage). I have started cleaning/dry-burning the coil each time I fill up my tank (about once per day.) So far, I'm on day 3 with the same coil instead of having spent $9 for a new coil each time. And this same coil is still going strong.

to ecf and the wonderful world of vaping. I just love it here.

I use to use a different atomizer for each flavor and also use my label maker to make it look nice. I liked putting blueberry in a blue atomizer, peppermint patty in a silver etc. Everyone has different methods.

Dry burning is very useful if you are wanting your coils to last longer because it gets rid of the built up gunk on them. This gunk can cause the fresh juice to have a bad taste. I don't worry about it anymore because it is so cheap and easy to learn how to rebuild your own coils. This saves quite a bit of money too. YouTube has turned into one of my best friends. :)

Good luck to you and happy vaping.
