I have changed the heads in mine once or twice. One question I have... The vivi nova came with 2 extra heads. Are these heads different ohms? If so, how can I tell which is which?

Hello Mr. E,

Where the head screws on there should be a engraving of the ohms like 1.8,2.4 etc. look closely on the head it is small but you will find it.
I hope that helps you sir. Happy Vapin and Happy Turkey Day.

I've had an atomizer last around 2 months before. I don't know what brand it was but it came with a white 510 yetti kit from a local smoke shop. They were white 510 atomizers. I was really impressed with their longevity. I have 2 vision vivi nova 2's from MV and the vapor production is just meh. Its OK. Its not as good as a cartomizer in my opinion. The flavor isn't as good as a cartomizer either and I can faintly taste the fiberglass string too. I like the vivi novas butttt, I like carto tanks better I think. We'll see. I'm still trying to give the vivi novas a fighting chance.

You should try rebuilding the heads yourself. You can use silica or cotton or even ss mesh wicks.

Is your vivi mini a Vision - did it say Vision on the box?
A pv is a personal vaporizer - another name for an e-cigarette. What ecig are you using?

Thanks for the explanation. Nope, just a big word "NOVA" and im using standard 1000mah eGo battery. IMG_1275.jpg

Not every box always had vision printed on it.
I have a head laying here somewhere,,, must be closing in on 3 months.
The nova will never match a carto tank for flavor, you have already been spoiled lol.
The air flow could be the battery, as some are looser then others, I have novas that will pound out the vape on a twist and hardly vape at all on my KGO without an adaptor.

After using a carto tank the only reason to keep the nova at this point is a back up or pocket friendly device ,,say for at work or something.

I have several Vivi Novas, 2 of which I bought on 6/17/12 and those have the short wicks on them so they are easy to identify. Those two short wick heads are still going, and I use them every day. I just clean them every few tankfuls and dry burn them, and they are still going.

I know this sounds unbelievable, but it's true. Five months of use and they are still going. Of course, now I've jinxed myself and they will both burn out today.

i've noticed the darker the juice the shorter they last, my nova i've been using CCHB in gets crappy tasting every other day and needs a clean/dryburn to revive it a bit but i think the head finally is done. it still works it just doesnt taste good so its getting replaced finally today lol. my mini that i've been running clear fruity flavors in is still like day one and has needed half the amount of cleaning.

I was one of the idiots to buy TWO vivi novas AFTER having had some cartomizer tanks. I thought the vivi novas would be an UPGRADE. Boy was I wrong. I thought they were performing better than cartomizer tanks, along with lasting longer, and having the ability to rebuild the heads yourself. I thought for sure that this was going to be a money saver and a whole new world. A better world. I was wrong. I prefer cartomizer tanks and if I had known I'd like my carto tanks much more, I would have only bought ONE vivi nova tank and I would have saved the money spent on the 2nd, on a stainless steel, glass cartomizer tank. :S Oh well. You can't win them all, can ya? NOPE! So, from now on I'm gonna stick to cartos. I'll be able to buy some in bulk in a month or two and hopefully I'll be set for a while. I thought I would be set for a long time by buying the novas but I was wrong. Anyone thinking the novas are going to be better than the carto tanks you already have, any1 thinking they will taste or hit better, save your money. Get a vivi nova or 2 for spare incase you cant afford cartos at some point but, stick to cartos.

Too bad about your negative experience with the vivi novas. Good to know you found your happiness with cartos. It's the opposite experience with me though. Started with cartotanks but had a struggle with flooding and messy refills, then I went to vivis and rbas. Found vivis and rbas easier to work with and am quite happy with the vapor and flavor. The thing is as with any setup, it requires a learning curve, once you get a hang of it, it will work. I guess it's a to each his own thingie. What matters most is you are comfortable and happy with it. Vape on mates!
