I picked up a REO from the trade forums here and received it today. I can taste a strong coffee flavor from the previous owner. I tried flushing it from the bottle with warm/slightly soapy water and then another warm rinse without soap and it's still lingering. What's the easiest and most effective way to take care of this? I'd love to able to handle it on my own without having to send it to Rob.

I think I saw a previous thread from July about this and some talked about cleaning the o-ring (not sure where that is), and several other ways but I either did not understand or just flat out didn't know how to do what they were advising...someone even mentioned using mouthwash?

Would love whatever advice can be offered.

While I'm awaiting some feedback from you guys, I'm going to vape flavors I don't like since I can't taste them anyway, lol.

Same thing happened to me with my ReoMini and searched the ECF until I came here. Mixed some DIY with chocolate coffee coconut and it really has left a strong flavor which I loved at the beginning but my love faded after about a bottle. Fortunately, I have two Mini's so I need not be without.

Maybe, I should just toss it into the ultrasonic with some vodka. I have a plastic tray with my US so it should prevent any damage to the finish of the Mini.

Someone else in a related post suggested high vg juice or unflavored vg. I did a warm water rinse with a syringe and then vaped about 1.5mil of 100% vg that I had and it seemed to do the trick. Not sure what qualities that vg would have to help with diminishing left over flavor...it could have even just been that it was going to fade away anyway but it seemed to do the trick. will try other methods next time.
