Loved this for the first few days, but now tasting burnt and i didnt get any replacements yet. Anyone know how to clean or dry burn these?

there is no dry burning these, dont know if cleaning would do anything positive.. hasn't ever worked for anyone i know.. when they taste burnt that is it..
My boyfriend tried dry burning one, said it helped. Just did a few pulses or so, filled it and went on. I bought him a replacement coil a few weeks ago and he's yet to use it.
