How do you clean Iclear 30 tanks?

I've had my MVP 2.0 which came with the iClear 30 tank, for 2 days now and was wondering how everyone cleans there tank? What is the best way. Step by step? Any things I need to buy to do it properly?

I've only just ran my first 3ml through it but want to clean it every few tanks or when I want another liquid in there

-Remove the head
-Either soak in vodka or rinse thoroughly with warm water then let dry
-Fill the tank with a little vodka and shake then rinse with warm water

That is the easiest way. For me I wait until I have a bunch of heads then soak them in polident or vodka for a little while then rinse and let dry. I always have extras so I don't have to wait for the cleaning process to be done.

You may want to consider getting some more clearos so you aren't down. If you like the 30 I recommend giving the 30s a try. Much, much better than the 30. Many other options as you prolly already know.

I just take the whole thing apart and drop in a cup of everclear myself. I have done hot water as well while I was at work. The iClear takes longer to clean though so I recommend at least a couple of backups. And I will agree that the 30s is amazing, although filling a tank and 20 min. later seeing it half empty is kinda weird.

I like the 30 but I'm still pretty new to vaping. I will look into buying a couple of new tanks and have a look into the 30s. Is vodka a must or will just rinsing with warm water do the trick to a certain extent. I have got vodka lying around though so will give it a try :)

Vodka isn't necessary but it gets more of the gunk. As I said if you get some extra heads wait to clean a group of them in a polident soak. Soaking in either gives the coils a chance to be cleaned over just rinsing which mostly just gets the wicks. But I have on occasion rinsed with warm water on heads that I have used lighter juice on.

But if you plan on using different juices you would be doing yourself a favor to have several extra tanks and heads. I actually bought some cheap CE5 disposables for $2 a piece for trying new juice flavors. If they only last a week no biggie. It saves wasting one of my good heads.

All that, and then carefully remove the silicone cap, attach the base to your MVP, lower the voltage to 3.0, and carefully pulse the fire button until the coils start to glow red. Rinse it well, carefully dry the wicks with paper towels, dry burn again to dry the wicks, re-assemble, fill and vape.

Be careful, because it is easy to disturb or damage the coils when dealing with the rats nest of wicks...Good luck.

half an hour to an hour should suffice. Unless you are using super gunky juices or 100% VG. I don't use sticky sweet juices and my mixes are 70/30 or 60/40 so they don't gunk too much.

uh-oh, i use *mainly* "bakery flavors" so I assume that's what you mean by gunky :( And I am moving from 50/50 to 40/60 (some kind of PG sensitivity it seems) so I should soak more, I assume. Does the vodka sorta darken or something as the stuff comes off the head? Thanks so much for replying…

It is a learning process TBH. If you think your juices may be more "gunky" you may want to try either polident or grain alcohol. But a good warm water rinse before the soak will help too.

The biggest thing about soaking, with whatever you decide, is that the liquid gets into more nooks and crannies. As said above, I also just toss everything in a cup. My "cup" is actually a travel coffee mug that has a lid. I just fill about a third or so full. When I take my parts out, I close the lid and store it in the fridge. I think I replace it...once a month. Anyway, rinse real well and air-dry over night.
