Here's my thoughts though, for $2 a coil and $11 for a gallon of vodka that will last forever versus one dry burn possibly messing it up, the 30 minutes each or more spent disassembling it, dry burning it and drying it, possible liquid loss if you don't put the post back on right or the flavor wicks in correctly in addition to the other maintenance and filling spent daily, I just prefer to soak them.

Unless you get pleasure out of the tinkering, then it's all worth it.

Hi! I'm new to ECF so I'm still learning how to navigate everything, so I apologize if someone else has passed along a similar suggestion. I just recently learned about dry burning, and I used this video as a tutorial for my PT2:

How to Clean & Dry Burn... Kanger ProTank II & Mini ProTank II, Protank 2 Tutorial - YouTube

The guy in the video shows you how to do every step of the cleaning and dry burning processes, and so I followed it step by step and didn't ruin my coil or anything, and I put a brand new juice in there and got a great smooth taste/vape off of it! I looked through some comments and it was suggested that this be done every 4 days or so. I am NOT an seasoned vaper, so this is just my 2 cents, so proceed with caution, especially when disassembling your device. However, I do think this method is legit.

Not an engineer by any means but it is the frayed ends and even though the coil is heated, it has to be some conduction to the wick itself in the process. All that I know is that the ends are black and they are crispy to touch. Dry burning, soaking and anything else that I have tried on this has not resolved the issue.

I thought about clipping it with scissors but haven't actually tried it.
