Cleaning tanks,wicks etc.

Hi everyone I keep reading people clean their tanks and wicks, first how often? then is just water ok or could you use something else?
is it ok to do it when changing liquid? could you do it on cartos? Thanks for replying Regards Nick.

carto filling shouldn't rly be washed, if u do make sure to dry it overnight (it'll never be the same as it was tho). i rinse my vivi's, evods and protank w/ water every couple tanks, dryburn the wicks and they're good to go. u can also soak in vodka/everclear if u want, not rly necessary tho, water works fine.

I clean my cartos/tanks about once a week. I usually just rinse them and let them air dry a few days. Ive done the boiling method as well with my cartos.

We have also washed off clearos - we can usually get two washings out of them before having to rebuild or toss.

I normally just rinse with warm water unless Ive used a thicker or more acidic juice.

I have also notice that some people wash a brand new wick/assembly as well how long before do you need to do that an hour? day before?

if they're short wicks like on an evod, t3, etc u can rinse, dry burn and use em right away. long vivi wicks u should let dry first - u can throw em in the microwave for 1 min if u want (the metal won't spark don't worry, at least mine never have) or let em air dry for a few hours.

towel dry, blow dry, let it set for 30 minutes and air dry.

with the vapeonlys i just rinse with warm water and air dry for about an hour, then throw in new flavor.

Luckily I live in Vegas air dry should be a brease doing this thanks everyone for replying.

Have any of you found out if cutting the wick a little shorter helps?

So I've found with my normal cartos, I rinse them in hot water and then spin out as much water as I can, then bake them for ~1 hour and they're good to go, but my buddy has a G1 with a wicking tank and I don't know anything about clearos. Can I rinse with water and bake those too, or is that a no no?
