hey guys. ever since i got into vaping everything has gone pretty smoothly except for when i clean my tanks. for example, i bought a new aspire nautilus today. brand new, never opened or used. i put in some juice and was vaping it for a few hours and i really wanted to change up flavors. i took the tank apart and poured out the remaining juice (about 1 ml). i took out the coil head and set it aside. then i rinsed out all the other parts with cool water and placed them on my counter and let them air dry for about an hour. i put everything back together, filled it up with juice and then after vaping for about 10 minutes juice starting coming up the air pipe and into my mouth. so then i had to unscrew the bottom, pour out and waste a crapload of juice, and blow out through the drip tip to get all the juice out of the windpipe and then reassemble. ever since i did that i have been vaping without a problem. this happens to me every time i clean a tank no matter what tank it is. does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Water inside the airflow system; blow it out before you put juice in the tank.

i always make sure not to overfill. especially in my nautilus i was nowhere near overfilling

There's the rub. Like the Kangers if you UNDERFILL it it takes a while to build up a vacuum. It's the vacuum that holds the fluid in the tank, and regulates the wicking as much as the airflow does.

I think what happens with glass tanks, is if you have alot of air in the tank, when you are chain vaping or especially at high wattages where the tanks warms air, the expansion of the air causes more flooding than would happen with a plastic tank; because the plastic tank doesn't conduct heat as fast so it does not get warm as fast.

I can definitely attest to this with the Nautilus. The longer I chain vape the more likely to gurgle or light flood. Also when you clean it add the step of a cotton swab dry run through the air regulator. I just rebuilt my first Nautilus head today and it is night and day better.

Nautilus heads need to dry out overnight (or longer) if you clean them. Dry burning a Nautilus doesn't seem to work for me, but it's fairly easy to recoil them with s single coil if you are careful not to disturb the blanket inside the insert or the feeder tube that contacts the wicks. I've also found that a Nautilus head needs to remain vertical, especially when it gets down to the half full level. It's easy to suck in some air and overload the coil if you tilt it when you vape.
