I have looked at this a few times in the last two years, trying to keep current with new trends. I have been a mild vaper for 2 years, vaping off and on while still using analogs. I have vape at home and smoke while I'm not. I use a RN4081 USB Passthrough and I rotate 3 attys. I am a firm believer in taking care of Attys and making sure that they are clean. I have had the same 3 for 2 years. Though I'm sure I just got some good stock and that I'm cleaning them well. Anyway here is what I do.
I also drip, but I'll do 3 drops onto the mesh portion of the atty, smoke 6-10 puffs. Take the atty off and blow it battery side into a paper towel. 3 drops, 6-10 puffs, blow atty into a paper towel. That is what I do, and then at night I do this...
I take a coffee cup fill it with water, put it in the microwave for 2 mins on high or use my keurig to warm the water. I drop my atty in it, let it sit for 5 minutes. Then I take it out blow it out battery side, then I set it mesh side down on a paper towel for a few minutes and blow from the battery side till I'm content the water is out. After that I'll go and rewarm some water do it over again. After you repeat this and blow it out the second time you can leave it set somewhere on a paper towel to dry over night. I'll usually switch attys everynight around 10pm.
Now from looking and reading about cleaning Cartos, I beleive the system is similar though I hear a lot of boiling in the talks. This is just my opinion and what I do. I hope it helped.
