Cleaning used bottles?

I have been saving all my juice bottles for the last couple months w/ the intention off starting to diy. Well now I have a whole mad scientist lab on the way, including some new bottles, but I'd still like to be able use the used ones. Mkay, so simple answer is vodka soak. Unfortunately that would likely be terrible for my sobriety. Are there any good non alcoholic substitues for vodka when it comes to cleaning?

I just do a nice hot soapy water soak and shake them up in it. Then I do a cold rinse a couple of times until I'm sure there are no bubbles or soap left. Air dry and they are ready. I haven't had any bottles with residual scents so this procedure has worked well for me.

I do like DetraMental does also. If I have a strong smell left in the bottle after drying I just toss it. Bottles are cheap.

I ordered 10ea 30ml, 10ea 10ml, & 10ea 5ml (+other stuff) from FT, all the bottles were less than $10. I still wash, but if it has an odor, I pitch them.
