Not sure if this is quite the right place for this post so Moderator please move it to the right board if you don't want it here.. Thank you..

This post is about using strong alcohol as a cleaning agent for wick and coil. In the UK you can get pure ethanol quite easily. You can also use moonshine, ever clear, Polmos Polish spirit or even just cheap 40% volume vodka. Alcohol is 100% safe to put in contact with all materials in a wick/coil , atomizer core or tank.

Many juices already contain some alcohol. Fill your tank with alcohol and soak for hours then rinse out with a syringe full of fresh alcohol. Warm the tank up to evaporate the alcohol then fill and use. Coil cores can be put into a clean, old juice bottle with 8 mls of alcohol to soak.

Even the most stubborn burned silica wicks can be revived with alcohol. The stronger the drink the better it will clean and the easier it will be to evaporate out once you have rinsed and soaked your wicks. This is good in an emergency if you are in a pub and have a burned wick in your coil core. Pop it out of your tank and into a shot of Vodka. Stir gently for 5 mins and it should work much better.
