I have had my kayfun for about 2 weeks now, and my very first coil was spot on and vaped like a beast. After the first week, I re wicked and burnt the coil clean, to get rid of the multitude of juice flavors I had tried.
I then tried a juice that was cut with alcohol instead of PG and it tore my throat up really bad, so I switched back to my Mt. Baker stuff. I was almost worried I had pneumonia I was feeling so bad, and coughing up and kinds of nasty.
Anyway, last night I opend up my kayfun to find that my wick was annihilated. and my coil had gunk on it that would not burn off! So I made a new coil (28awg 1.2ohm) and re-wicked with fresh cotton, after cleaning everything really well.
SO, now im curious, what could have caused my wick to burn up like that? Could it have been the alcohol in the juice, or maybe my wick was just too small? Also the first time I burned my coil to clean it, when I was done it looked almost new again, but after using that juice with the alcohol in it my coil looked charred and nasty even after getting it red hot. Also im trying to determine if it was the juice that made me sick, or be burning the hell out of my wick that made me sick, or if it was all just a bad coincidence.
Lastly, and Im really sorry for the long post, but after making the new coil last night I'm already feeling better this morning, I'm not coughing up much stuff anymore, I can already breathe better, and my throat is almost not sore anymore. But I would like some input on my new coil to see what your opinions are, because I do not want that to happen again, that sucked!
Below is my new coil/wick does everything look like it's working properly?

Just to show to color of the juice (Mt. Baker Cinnamon Roll 6mg 80VG/20PG)

Everything look ok?
Just out of curiosty can anyone post pictures of what their wick and coil look like after a few days or weeks of use? Im not sure what it's supposed to look like after it's been used for a while.
