Hmm, how about soaking the atty in Denatured alcohol? i use DA to clean sensitive electronics all the time, and is great if you get water in your cell phone. I see to reason why it should not work for an atty.

You could well be right. Just 2 points: (1) You're going to be inhaling through this. (2) I can only go from what I have personally experienced/learnt over the last year-and-a-bit.

Not really much else to clean - but the post seemed to imply that it was about cleaning the atty.

I use Polident tablets when the draw gets hard or I want to clean out an old flavor. Polident is designed to clean, freshen and remove build-up like plaque. Works better than anything else I've tried so far.

I wear partial dentures lol SHHHHHHHHHHh, my secret lol

so should i unsrew my atty and let it soak in a glass, instead of letting my teeth soak? seriously, let the atty soak, rinse clean and then use blow dryer to dry it out?

Im newbie, vaping 4 days, no analogs..

Im proud of me lol

ya know im very much from the school of mind if aint broke dont fix it , as i tell my hubby that all the time lol

but being a newbie to vaping, and reading so much, i wasnt sure?

but im gonna go with what u say b/cause it rings true in my head if it aint broke dont fix it lol

eta, i did blow some yuck out of my atty and it works better now?

mine said nova smoke on the box i bought, but i think it might be a m401 0r m402?

ive so much to learn...

awe man, my first clean, i just put the atty under hot running water, blew it out, put a bowl of water in the microwave for 3 minutes, put the atty in it for 10 minutes, then blew it out again, saw some straggler poly hairs still stuck to the atty after rigorously blowing, then took some tweezers to it, and bam, i accidentally nabbed the wick and now a small piece of the white wick is hanging off of the little coil thingy, not fully seperated off the wick, just hanging on and off to the side of the coil... will it be ok, e-doctors?

I normally remove those white hairs from my atty, for some reason for me works so much better.

Some people would actually drop the entire atty in the water but i won't..But why let the part you connect to a battery get wet? Reason some people tend to kill there attys.

There's no reason to not soak the entire thing. There are no electrical components that get ruined when wet. The coil is the only real component, and it is not affected by being wet. You aren't connecting it to the battery while its wet anyway. So there is nothing to damage from being completely submersed.

Batts (KR808) - Besides a wipe down with paper towel every now and then, I'll use a toothpick or thumbtack to clean out the threading and the holes along the threading. To clean around the center post, I'll fold up some paper towels and run it along the grove. Sometimes a combo paper towel/toothpick to clean around the center post.

Cartos - Remove the softcap, boil in water for 10 minutes, rinse in hot water with a strainer, boil for another 10 minutes, then rinse in hot water again. Blow out all the water you can then leave them to dry on paper towel (batt side up) overnight or bake then at 200 for a while. I'm going to try the syringe/pen grip method next batch to be cleaned.

Atty - Rubbing alcohol bath for 15 minutes. Run the same alcohol through the atty until it comes out in a constant stream. Blow out excess rubbing alcohol. Let the atty dry (batt side up) overnight.

Drip tips and adapters - Run under hot water then let sit to dry on a paper towel.

The best way I've found to clean. Surprised it hasn't caught on yet.

Sonicbath

Works extremely well...just add distilled water. No other cleaner necessary.

I just picked up one like this from Walmart for $30. Mine's called LaSonic Supreme. I'm going to try running it in a solution of vodka. I'll post back if it fails miserably.
