You certainly can pulse the atomizer a couple times, for just a few seconds, to vaporize most of the water. After that, your first few puffs on the refill will be weak due to any remaining water, but then you're off and vaping again. I always do this after cleaning an atomizer with hot tap water, and can't see where drying first helps.

Depends on the wicking material. With silica or ceramic wicks you can fire that beasty all day long without a problem. Cotton and rayon, not so much. 440BB said it best I think - pulsing the coils to evaporate most of the water from the wicks works really well but I would caution you to avoid over firing if you don't know what your wicks are made out of as you could cook them if you take it too far.

hey Im somewhat new to vaping and I was just wondering of this is okay, If I clean my wicks out with water and instead of letting them air dry can I hook my atomizer up to my battery and dry the wicks by pressing the button?? or will that burn them? thanks for helping

Pop over to YouTube and search for "dry burn". It can help to clean a coil and maybe dry the wicks but I rarely do it. I seen to screw it half the time and toast the coil. :)
