I am a new member and dont really know how to clean my atomizer. It is a No. 7 micro i guess "automatic" E-cigg and now looking on these pages i'm regretting getting this model. But since i don't have much money to buy another model i want to keep this as clean as possible! i researched on some other threads and some say to clean with water then blow dry then "press the button" to burn the atty...but i guess i don't have a manual? How do i clean this type of atty on my "auto" model without using harsh chemicals? Any help will do! THANK YOU!!!!

What is the atty doing that leads you to believe that it needs cleaned? Cleaning an atty just to clean it will shorten its life in many cases.

If there is a performance issue, you could do the water clean and then rinse with alcohol. If left to sit, out in the open, over night, it should be pretty clean and ready to go come morning.

you can either soak it in a dish of warm - hot water (not boiling) for about 10 - 15 mins

or you can go ahead and clean it with 70% iso alcohol soaking it for about 10 mins and letting it dry.

*always make sure the atty is DRY before using it again as it can damage it.

You should check out some of the youtube vids on atty cleaning esp nomad's there's a sticky on how to's for broke people :) GL

cleaning an atty with rubbing alchohol will not damage it in any way shape or form, The only risk is that on certain atties it will cause the paint to peel, although i'm pretty sure that the no. 7 (ss choice?) is an rn4081, which has no paint to peel anyhow. Also, the part about making sure an atty is dry before using it is only partially true, but you absolutely will not damage it. Atties have an auto dry feature, simply blow it out, turn on the power until you hear it stop sizzling and see it start to glow red, with an auto battery, the only way to do this is to put the LED end in your mouth and blow. Once you see it glowing red put some juice in it and you're ready to go.

I have washed it with warm water and let it dry for 10 mins. afterwards i tried to blow on the other end (the Led light end) until it sizzled. there was some steam coming out with the atty but it did not glow red. i put some juice on it and now it seems to not be working whatsoever...i must have done something wrong! is my atomizer completely destroyed now?

Boy oh Boy! As I said watch some vids on this. 10 - 15 mins to soak, not dry.

10 mins to dry?? def not with water. Water takes quite a while to evaporate compared to alcohol. If you would watch vids they all say allow 3 - 24 hours for it to dry... even with Alcohol.

Did you soak the whole unit? because you shouldn't be blowing thru any led end.

10 mins just is not enough dry time... and is why I suggested watching the video I posted. As he says he soaks it, then lets it dry in a nice air flow for 3 - 24 hours. I would def say something is wrong if you didn't give it enough time to dry.

I think you took the advice from the gentleman who said

I would never advise ANYONE to use this method, nor turn it on without it being properly dried. And to watch atleast 2 - 3 vids on how to properly clean an atty. I couldn't tell you if it's fried or not. Maybe bobcat can help you since he uses this method of turning it on while still wet.

I should have taken your advice!!! well i hooked it up and it had a really bad taste (and that was before i let it dry for 24 hours). afterwards, it did not get any vapor. oh man, i should have listened! i then let it sit overnight with the atomizer on a paper towel and in the morning it was working alright...but still not much smoke! Oh well..i guess i will learn from that mistake! Thank you for your help and your information! i now know that i should not clean only if needed, and will allow the atty to dry more...:)

Dottie...I have the stealth No.7 kit...There is only 2 things I do to my 3 attys I have are blow out the juice (with the thread end in your mouth) into a paper towel. Then every 2nd week I would rinse them under very hot water from the sink. blow out the water from the attys and your set to go...I've never ever let them dry over night. Always keeping them wet with juice. been going good now for just about 2 months

I never ever put water in my atomizers anymore. I use straight up alcohol PGA if i have it if not i use 91% isopropyl. i let them soak for 15 to 20 mins then dip them in the alcohol and let it run out the bottom a few times. Then i blow the alcohol out of them. Then put in the oven @ 200F for 1 hour. They are ready to use after that.No 24 hour waiting, done and ready to go in a hour and a half.
