Just received an email notification my mutant x will be delivered today. So I just want to check that I have everything needed to clean it before use. Regardlessif it smells/noticeably has machine oil I want to clean it.

So I first remove the I rings and post screws. Then I run it under hot water then let it soak in unscented dish soap and hot water for half an hour. For the o rings a quick soak in some ipa is ok right? Since it is a copper middle and top cap is there any thing I should avoid using on it to clean? And do I need to remove the center post or contact?

Dish soap and HOT water is fine for the orings. I would not use any alcohols or solvents on them, unless water and soap don't work. If/when the rings pickup flavor and or odors it's best to just replace them. For the FIRST cleaning I would remove any parts that can be removed. machine oils gets into every nook and cranny and was there PRIOR to assembly, so it is inside and under any attaching point.

Alright thanks. I though alcohol would be fine because in a pictorial guide I found that is how the author did it. I can't wait for the my day to wind down and find my new rda sitting in my mailbox when I get home.

Got home a while ago and I excitedly opened my mailbox to see my mutation in it. I took everything I could apart except the center post. I was not sure if it was screwed in or what but I could not get it out. So I just left it in as not to damage it. I soaked it in soapyHOT water for half an hour. Then I got aan old toothbrush and gave everything a good scrubbing with some soap on the brush. I then rinsed everything in water again and dried as much as I could. While it was drying I built a coil using 28g kanthal and a 2.4id. By the time I finished everything seemed completely dry so I put my coil in. Testing with a multimeter it read 1.5/1.6. When screwed into the base it read 1.4 on my sigelei. It was really easy to build, a lot easier than I was expecting! My wicking was not the best and my coil not the prettiest but it's been vaping great with no leakage or spit back.

I'm vaping some 6mg bannana juice from my local b&m and I have a mean nic rush. On my protank the nic level was just right. I like the draw with just three holes open butthe flavor leaves something to be desired. But overall I am happy with my purchase and look forward to practicing my builds on it.
