clear bottles

Alright, we aren't allowed to discuss anything in Classifieds, so I guess we can just hijack here since OP said his info need is met heh.

TJ I saw the SKS place with free shipping over $250 too.

I could be in for the 6ml plastic bottles. I really want glass too. Is there a certain color they have to be to protect nicotine? I've gotten a few brown glass bottles, but my big bottle of 100mg nic is in blue plastic.

I'm confused what these "orifice reducers" are like too. Do they work well enough for dripping? Take this product as an example. They have 5ml blue glass on sale too but only with OR listed as add-ons, not squeeze droppers or anything.

Yeah I saw that type of stuff. Is it just flush with the surface, like a flat disc with a smaller hole? I saw "euro droppers" or something mentioned on one site. I think I have one of them that I got randomly in trade. It isn't like the droppers on the bottles you linked on SKS that we are used to from flavor vendors.

Does anyone want glass bottles or is that just me?

They're flush-fitting inserts with a small hole, AKA Eurodroppers. No good for dripping but great if you want to minimize the liquid's exposure to oxygen and prevent spills. To use for this purpose, you draw the liquid out with a syringe.

Hmm... whatever random thing I got in trade looks like the euro droppers from teh bottom but has like a half inch spout that seems like it would be good for dripping. I didn't try using it and don't really see it being sold though.

OK, if we're to get this going we should. I want to order by tomorrow if possible. I mentioned in the other thread that I am getting a roll or two of artist tape as my labeling solution. The place with the best price doesn't need bulk but we can save shipping if it is part of the whole thing. Otherwise I will just get it with my Amazon Prime.

Specialty bottle wants like $32 for shipping a case of 390 1/2 ounce brown glass with droppers. Sunburst wanted credit card info before even giving an estimate. Guess I can do that and not finalize, but it is annoying. It's looking like SKS will be the best way to go because they have both the 3-6-etc translucent plastic we are used to and other things + Free shipping over $250.

OK, looking at some hypothetical orders from SKS. They have cheaper 48 count bags with dropper tip and cap included.

You can save more piecing together from larger amounts too. I personally have no interest in 3ml bottles.

6ml you need to order a 4,000 piece case and I don't think we want that many.

10ml you can get a case of 1800 for $162, then you need a 1440 count case + 3x 144 cases of both tip and caps to cover the 1800 (1872).

144 tip = 11.52 (34.56)
1440 tip = 86.40

Caps are the same price so x2 this all adds up to $69.12 (6x 144 bags) + 172.80 (2x 1440 case) = $241.92

Plus the bottles themselves then we are at $403.92 for 1800 full setups or $0.2244 each. The smaller 48 sizes in 6/10 ml come out to $0.28 each.

I might run it, not sure. Again, sorry for kind of hijacking the clear plastic bottle thread...lol

I need to find the type of bottle I even want, or just a better labeling system. I think I saw some thread about it and artist tape sounded like the best solution. Right now, I am cutting Avery labels in half, lengthwise, because they won't stick unless wrapped on itself. Even then, it isn't so hot.

I'd love some sort of colored glass bottles, with a patch to write and re-write on them. Maybe this doesn't exist, so that is really all I am asking in here for now. Maybe it is cost-prohibitive and artist tape (which isn't that cheap itself) is a better solution for me. I'll take a little look around and try to figure out the rules (why would I need mod permission?) -- then make a Coop feeler thread later tonight.

aprioristic, I just got a brother QL-570 P-touch printer for Christmas they are awsome for creating labels one up or multiple. Also I bought some nice 8oz Boston bottles for keeping my Pre-Mix Nic fluid in from Specialty Bottle. They have many kinds and are pretty reasonable as well.

Thanks,
Jeff~

mauzey, that might be nice but I can get like 1200 yards of artist tabe for that much lol. We have a label printer of some sorts like that already too, and it is too big for bottles IMO. So, it wouldn't get much other use. I also might need to write like 6 things on the label, so the other ones that put one big row of lettetrs doesn't seem it will work for me.

Caution, IDK I just don't see it happening. A few people seemed interested but not in glass. I really am going to order by tomorrow, so we would have to get organized. Do we need a new thread? I have no clue what type of bottles you guys want.

Thats cool, I have all the bottles I need, just pointing out a place to get them, The thing about the p-touch printer is you can design and print any font down to 4 points, I can now print 6 line descriptions for my 5ml bottles, and opposed to most labeling tape, they stick to all of my bottles as well as being submersible in hot water. The Labels hold up, but still come off without leaving the glue on the bottle.

Thanks,
Jeff~

Yeah, I guess I was looking at your post about plastic bottles, and to be honest I want some smaller bottles too. I have some glass bottles and to be honest they're more of a pain without drip tips (and the ability to be squeezed) than they're really worth.

I was hoping to get a mix of 3, 6 and maybe some 10ml bottles since I want them for mixing, and I'll want to do a lot of experimentation with very small test batches, hence the 3ml bottles. I'll keep looking for awhile in the threads but I have a feeling I'll be flying solo on this.

Caution, you can get those at many of the DIY vendor sites, I get by with 10/3ml, 10/5ml, 10/15ml, and 10/30ml bottles for juice mixing. plus all the empties I have from purchased e-liquid and flavoring. I cant see a need for 100 bottles, unless I was selling e-liquid anyhow. ;)

I'd look at SKS, Sunburst, Specialty Bottle-- all linked here or in DIY sticky. I didn't break down the prices, but again 6/10ml at SKS comes out to $0.28 each for a pack of 48, which isn't bad.

If someone still wants to organize a bulk 1800+ piece plastic I might be in. I think I have enough plastic to hold me off as long as I get my glass.
