It does work. The link you showed me on page one is the same thing, I believe his works.

oh they wick all right. I make sure of that when I test the foam in the reservoir with the water. I don't know the science of it, I just know they work. When it doesn't drip, foam's too tight, when it does, it's too loose. I get mine to drop once every five or six seconds then I empty the water, fill the reservoir with e-juice and stick it down the tube and on to the wick. It doesn't even come out when I turn it upside down because the foam pressing against the atty holds it in place. The best part about it is you don't need blue foam or a cap on the end you can leave it wide open. But it it were huge you might need a washer or something. I just looked at the schematics of the 510 cart and looked at your latest cart mod and thought there might be other ways. I want a clear cart that holds more liquid. I tried the straw first, your way wouldn't work with the straws I had. So I tried it straight and it worked with 3 carts. I don't want a 7 inch pencil and I want to see my liquid. I made 4 of these mods so far and they all work. But I don't like that they can't bend so well. I wanted to wrap them around but that isn't going to happen. They always bend and crimp. Getting the foam to keep the liquid from gushing out is a little difficult though. That takes the longest. But once it's in, you never have to take it out. you can just drip right in the mouthpiece when it's empty. It is no different than an e-dobit that stays in the atty. Like a pen. Don't ask me how it works, All I know is that it does. I know it isn't perfect. But it works and you can make it 6 freakin' feet long if you want to. Just make sure the reservoir doesn't gush out and don't fill the reservoir to the brim when you fill it. Make sure there is enough foam sticking out of the tip of the reservoir and when it's saturated, stick it in the atty and your golden. I am liking it very much myself.

I like it.
I like clear tube (obviously)
After all it is prototype #1. I am sure you will improve it.
It seems to me if you are using foam (or nothing) as a plug for the mouth end it should wick fine.
As for a spacer between tubes I don't know why that would be needed.

On a side note if that is the tubing that comes in coils you can put a pencil or nail or something inside it then heat it a bit over the stove to straighten it out.

I don't know what else I can do with it as I am out of a job now. I wanted it to be pvc. I cannot afford to purchase it online. I tried sticking 2 reservoirs in the outer tube today but it was way too tight. It would have worked, but not worth the trouble. So for it to last all day, it would have to be rather long. Which is not what I want. If I would have a bought a larger outer tube to attach to the existing tube, I could have fit 3 reservoirs in there verses one. The mouthpiece would have been fatter, But it wouldn't have to be so long to last all day. But I didn't think about that til I was on my way home.

That is the problem with that tubing that I think you are using for the inner tube. The walls are about 1/16" which does not leave much ID left. Maybe 1/8". But a clear drinking straw is only a few thousands wall. It holds about 50% more juice. And they are free.:D
Not the Mcdonalds type. The narrower clear ones like at gas stations and such.
I have also messed with several different things for the outer tube. The ID on pvc, acrylic etc. are all too loose. That I could find anyway.

Yours mod looks a bit like this one I did a while back.

I am afraid that even if I found some good straws, that they might melt, just because they are so thin. I want a clear hollow spiral tube inside the clear outer tube, a new mega atty and one of those blue batteries I know nothing about that last all day. A Short Fatty... like a chuck I guess but one piece all the same size. I'm gonna figure out how to make one if it kills me. The "yet another cart mod" would have gotten tons more attention if it had the word clear or see through in the title. I wish I had seen that forum earlier. What did you use for the filler material?

What did you use to cap the atty end with the tiny hole? Also what did you use for the other end cap for the inner tube?

Eclypse that was one of the little button caps from inside or on the end of a cart. Cut down so it press fit and rests on the shoulder/ledges in the cart. Then drilled out a bit so I could fit a syringe in it to fill.
The other end was just plugged with epoxy (back then).

The button/cap thingy with the hole it came from an earleir mod that was just that in a reg cart and I would whack the batt end on my palm to get a drop out lol..Worked well enough but decided not such a good idea.

Did you have to draw the air out of the juice chamber with the needle first before filling?

Oh just to let you know vape.. next time just goto lowes. Head to the plumbing area. You'll see some huge spools of different sized tubing. Some already cut to length and priced as such.. but the stuff in the spools can be bought by the foot. Either get someone there to cut it or you can. I bought mine for .20 a foot. Some were .10 as well.

Just remember the sku # for the tubes you get so you can tell the person at the checkout so they can ring it up.. if not, you'll be screwed waiting for them to look it up.

Thats gota be a whole lot cheaper then buying the stuff at the pet store.

Vapor: That mod did not use filler. It just dripped out of the little hole when I squeezed the tubes. Your mod is actually a squeezable cart mod. I know that's not what your looking for. Just sayin.

Eclypse: No. The hole just needed to be slightly bigger than the syringe needle to allow the air to escape when filling. The thing did leak a bit when it got low because of no suction to hold the liquid up. I just quit letting it get low.heh. It was ugly as Hell but a cart lasted days.
