Clear something up for me about a bottom feeder mod

I've been fiddling with different mods and was looking into a bottom feeder. Now I understand you put a tube basically from the bottle through the bottom of the atty. What I'm not getting after looking at a bunch is how the juice gets into the atty from there. Any atomizer I have taken apart shows me that from the bottom there is often a plastic disc with a hole in the center, then the plastic piece that the wires go into for the coil on the other side and it is all wrapped in mesh.

I suppose what I don't understand about it all is how the juice gets from the bottom of the coil assembly to the coil up top with all that stuff in the way. Can someone enlighten me?

...was that seriously necessary? If you don't know then entertain yourself elsewhere. I'm trying to find answers here from the helpful ones of the community.

I suppose you'd have to rip the bottom connector out of an atty and push a hypodermic needle up into it to see where it comes out. I just push mine up (gently) until they hit, then back them off about 1/16" and solder it in place.

My design (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...3-upside-down-mini-stealth-bottom-feeder.html) has the downtube ending at the nipple, so you have to turn it upside down to drip into the atty. I think this method works way better than squirting it UP into the atty. Takes less pressure to squeeze the bottle and the drips go onto the screen.

There is a very small space in between the cup and the outer wall of the Atty (airflow), it sucks up in between that very small space all the way around the inside wall radius

Juice gets into the air flow for the atty and gets sucked up into the coil area and soaks into the nickel mesh and wick.

so it sits between the bottom of the atty and the thread area pretty well? Are they made so the tube leading to the bottle fits in the hole in the bottom of nice and tight so it doesn't leak?

Doesn't need to be tight. The threads hold it in, the air rushing in draws it up, and the nickel foam holds it like a sponge. You don't want the feeding tube blocking the airflow completely.

mine work great. you have to learn how to puff on them to get the juice air mix right but i love the fact that when i change flavors i unscrew my bottle cap it and put another on
