I am new to modding, but I have searched EVERY page of mods, and can't really get any clear info on how the bottom feeder works. It seems that it is basically a hypodermic needle, slipped through the connector and into the bottom of the atty. Is this somewhat close? If there is any detailed reading on this, I'd love to be pointed in that direction.

I have a FEW mods all going simultaneously, waiting for parts to come in the mail, but one in particular will blow peoples mind. No details till I am further along though.

Thats what I was thinking. Where could I find check valves that small?

It's been a while since I made a feeder using one so I don't have the info in front of me but I think Cole Palmer is where I bought mine. Once you install the valve, the only add'l modding is to accommodate return air.

Thanks alot. I figured I would use 2 check valves. One check valve to prevent liquid from flowing back, and another to allow air to flow into the bottle without letting liquid get out that way.

I have another question that is somewhat OT. Which would get better battery life?

1. 2x14500 in parallel 3.7v@~1200mAh with VV "upconverting" to 6v.
2. 2x14500 in series 7.4v@600mAh with VV "downconverting" to 6v.

My senses tell my that in parallel would still do better on battery life, but I have to wonder how much draw it takes to get it up to 6v...

I'm using one of those $8 box mods now. Don't bother with the check (one-way) valve. If you get the tube in far enough, it doesn't backfeed period. Because a lot of people won't read that whole thread, I need to mention that you shouldn't use brass tubing. Highping found a problem with it later. I used a 16 gauge syringe needle.
