I know clearos have been disscussed to death here, but I was absent for their premiere, and by the time I jumped on the clearo wagon the threads were impossibly long. So I decided to bite the bullet and get some, and just see how it went. I filled it no problem, took a puff and OMG, this is what vaping is supposed to be. I loved every puff out of that first fill. So when it ran out I refilled it. Now it tastes like socks. Same juice, same clearo, maybe slightly overfilled. I'm not sure how flooding it a little would make it taste that way. Any suggestions? I'm really digging the no burnt pillow taste, would really love to get back to the way it was on the first fill. TIA

So I decided to take the clear tube off, and the little wires pulled out of the solder. Oh well, because once I got the coil away from the little silicone thing that would NOT come out from the top, the threads were burned to the coil. So I'm guessing that one was toast anyway. So I filled a new one, but I am still curious to know what went wrong. Was it just because I let it get so empty, or had the burning been happening all along? I like these a lot, but one fill per clearo is not going to cut it in my budget.

ive been using the same ones for weeks now, they need to be dry burned, quite frequently if you are using a thicker darker juice. The silicone ring around the atty cup can be a little hard to get out the first time, just be gentle with it until it comes off, then gently remove the plastic tube. Best to leave it on a batt for that. Once its off, give it a good rinse, then dry burn until all the coils are glowing red, then rinse, pat dry, reassemble and fill.

I will. :) So far using a slightly hooked paper clip to slide under the filler lid and pull it up is helping it wick faster. I'm now wondering if during refilling the other one I accidentally pushed that thing down too far so the threads couldn't get juice to the coil. That would explain why it tasted good when I dripped right on it, but terrible when I didn't...

Washing depends, I have some that I use very clear, mostly PG liquids in that I will refill 8 or so times before cleaning, and I have other that I use very thick VG liquid in that I have to clean each time I fill them. another trick you can do, if you have wicking issues is cut the notches larger in the silicone ring where the wick comes into the cup. I do that for my thicker juices.
