I have found that when I would go from the 90s outside to the inside of my airconditioned car I would have to adjust my settings. So I do think that big temperature differences will affect the operation of your vape equipment. Not sure the science of this; I am sure someone will stop by that can explain it.

Also, I have read that big changes in altitude, like driving up or down a mountain road can make a difference too.

Both the temp changes and the altitude changes can impact the slight vacuum inside a clearo, and may result in leaks. Temp changes will cause the liquid to expand (rising temp) or contract. It's the rising temp that may cause leaks. Likewise, going to higher altitude changes the pressure differential between the inside and the outside of the tank.

If you keep your vape under / inside your coat except to vape, it likely won't be much of an issue. But if you let it adjust to cold ambient, it may take longer to heat to vaporization. Kicking up the power a little may help, or maybe just fire a small bit before drawing, to get it going :)

Not a "girl question" at all! Lots of people slept through physics

The liquid will also thicken with cold and thin with heat, changing the amount that is wicked to the coil. Oddly, I find when going from cold to hot, I increase the wattage to help stop flooding (flavor and vapor production also increases dramatically) and when going from hot to cold I decrease the wattage to prevent dry hits/burnt liquid from the reduced wicking.

I would suggest thinning your juice slightly with PG. This will allow better wicking when cold and will also intensify the flavor slightly. The opposite goes for summer time, thicken with VG to help prevent flooding.
