Hi, I've been analogue free for several weeks now, subsisting on disposable e-cigs (The Never Light Again 18mg Menthol)
It's not really doing it for me throat-hit wise and I need to move up to something better or revert back to smoking.

I like the sound of the variable voltage batteries and peoples reviews seem to back that up.
I've narrowed my choices to the EGO C Twist or the Provari.

My questions are these:

1. Is it too much to jump straight to the expensive Provari before trying cheaper options?
2. If not, I like the idea of clearomizers, which ones work well with the Provari?
3. Same question if I go with the EGO Twist, which clearomizers work well with it?
4. If there are no good clearomizers for either battery, can anyone recommend better options for either one?

YMMV, but I would've saved a ton of money if I would've gotten my Provari 1st. I haven't needed to buy another mod since. That having been said, there are a bunch of decent VV PVs out there today for better prices (VMax, Lavatube clones, EGO Twist...).

Any of them with a 510 connector will drive any clearo with a 510 connection. None of the clearos worked well for me. I did run DCT tanks with cartos for a good while, but for me the only way to go now is rebuildable attys (love the DID) or dripping on a Cisco 306.

eGo Twist has gotten nice reviews from folks, is relatively small, but only comes in 650mAh or 1000mAh (neither of which would last me a whole day). Provari is bigger, built to last forever, and with 2250mAh batteries does last me a whole day (typically 3.5ml to 5ml/day). Which ever way you goy, you can tweak the TH by turning up the voltage.

You can jump straight into a Provari...but why not run...do not walk...to a site and order a couple of Twists with either Stardusts or Vivi Nova's? You will invest a lot less money finding out if this combination is going to work for you. I'd suggest the standard resistance clearos.

I vape a Provari at home and Twists and KGO's on the road. The Twist will get the job done for you very well. Use it to sort out what you want on the end to put juice in. Spend the extra money (for now) on heads and juice. Once those are dialed in, your life will get a lot cheaper, and you can buy a Provari, which you will probably love.

The Stardusts look good. The Vivi Nova seems a little intimidating for a noob like me right now. I want something solid, but that's easy to use. I'm not sure I'm ready for a rebuildable tank system quite yet.

Good info guys. Any more?

Is there a noticeable difference between cartomizers, clearomizers and vaporizers or is it a totally personal preference?

The "rebuildable" part of the Nova's is just uncrewing the top and bottom and changing one part...it's pretty intuitive. That said, it's smart to keep it as simple as possible for a while. The newer version of the Stardust is supposed to be very good.

The Nova's aren't rebuildable, don't let that intimidate you. They are replaceable. It's as simple as unscrewing two parts. First unscrew the bottom (base) off. Then unscrew the head with the wicks on it off. Screw a new head with wicks onto the base and screw the base back on. Unscrew the top to fill it and screw top back on. I can barely fix a sandwich, but the Nova is VERY simple. I use the Twist and Nova setup and it's wonderful.

I would suggest the ego twist before shelling out $200 for a Provari. Please dont take me wrong the Provari is a beautiful vape and has made me a vapor. I quit analogs the day I got it. With that said I won my provari on Vapetv, just saying before making such an investment an ego twist is a great way to see if VV will work for you!

I should have mentioned you will need an adaptor to use a clearomiser on a Provari (either a 510-510 or 510 to ego)which is harder on the circuitry to my knowledge. If you go with the ego it works nicely with the clearo's try a 1.7 ohm makes a nice vape.
