Clearomizer or tanks with an ePower

Okay will try posting this again.

I use an epower that I really like and using CE2 which I am starting to dislike. The flavor of the juice is very mild and completely gone after about 3 to 5 fills. I have bought them from different stores, bought ejuice from different stores, added extra flavoring, bought stronger flavors, let them steep for a month and the problem remains. I am thinking it is the clearomizer and I need to change what I am using.

So I have been checking out the newer clearomizers/tanks like CE4, T3, Redux or Vision but not sure if these would fit the ePower. Most say for use with an ego instead of a 510 but I think the treading on the ePower would work. Would these work on an ePower? Then there is bottom coil or top coil, which is better for flavor or is there a difference?

I have been vaping sweeter and sour flavors, mostly fruity and really like to mix half tobacco and half a fruit flavor. Not sure if flavoring makes a difference.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

I know people may disagree with this but I think your problem is stuff like the CEs suck. I've used the CE 1,2, and 3 and they all were awful. The only clearo I've used that I actually liked has been the iClear 30. If you want a better quality cape I would suggest a better setup. You can go with a different device (mod) and that does make a difference but it sounds like your biggest problem is you've moved passed the quality a CE set up can offer. I know several people that really like the Protank and are quite happy with it and their not that expensive. Just poke around and try some different setups. I've got a clearo tank, 3 carto tanks, and RBA and I'm still buying new things to try to see what works best with what device, juice, device, ect.

Hope that helps.

Ewww. You aren't going to want to hear this but you have "not great" hardware going on here. Fisrt, you are stuck at a fixed voltage with an epower. And if it's an early epower, depending on which revision of the power switch you have, you have a resistance limitation as to what devices will work on it. If you have to combine 2 ohm or higher anything stuck at 3.7 volts it's going to take a lot of trials and errors finding something that may work with the third variable - your liquids.

If you went with Kanger bottom coil anything you can at least select different resistance coils anywhere between 1.8 and 2.5 ohms. But how low you can get to actually work is entirely dependent on your epower switch. (That device drove me mad.)

As to what fits. There was at one time an epower to eGo adapter kit that consisted of a "beauty ring" to cover the odd sized epower threads, and a 510 to eGo adapter. I'm not aware of anyone carrying these any longer. You can still use an eGo device with just a plain 510 to eGo adapter, but it won't be all that pretty looking.

I started vaping 2 years ago and within the first 9 months I had to buy 5 different devices as they would stop working in 31 days to 3 months. It was costing me as much as cigs had. Got the ePower and like the size, weight and the fact I can change parts without having to purchase the whole thing. It seems the only other batteries or mods are that have replaceable parts are square and twice the size. Also I become physically sick if I use anything with a filler so has to be filler free.

If you have any suggestions for a mod about the same size and weight of the epower, that has replaceable parts, I would be open to checking it out.

So are CEs the only non-filler that fits an ePower?

Well technically nothing but a device with a 510 connector will directly fit an original ePower. eGo threaded devices will work, but only with a 510 to eGo adapter. Like I said, it won't look all that pretty but it will work. For the cost of the adapter it's still an option.

I can't say based on the button plastic which revision you have. I have two switches with clear hard plastic buttons and white LED's. They are supposed to be two different revisions. Both of those switches will only work with 2.0 ohm or higher, and even then 2.0 ohms can be a crap shoot some times.

A bigger better version is the Joyetech eGo-T 2 APV that uses an 18650 instead. It runs in two modes: Joyetech regulated at 3.7 volts or unregulated at whatever the battery will put out. It can even be charged with a regular Go charger. This link at TVR shows a complete kit with battery tube, head & battery but for some reason TVR is no longer selling it as the kit. Back up a page and you buy it as individual parts. => Joye eGo-T 2 Upgrade APV Mod Unit

It won't be any longer than the ePower, but will be larger around. You can get either an eGo style connector head or a "flat top" connector head for use with things like ProTanks or carto tanks that only have a 510 connector. The pics will make that more obvious.

I found a newly open e-cig shop a couple of blocks away and talked to them. They had never seen an ePower or CE2 so it was a mutually learning experience. Was told the CE2 heated at the top and if I didn't keep it wet/juice topped off that would cause decrease in vape. Vape somewhat better now. Anyways bought a viva nova (I think that's the name) clearomizer. It was actually worse than the CE2 so checked out the deals and steals here and came across a notice of a going out of business (50% off) post for PureSmoker. I wanted something that would take the same clearomizers as the ePower so ended up buying a SmokSiD for $27.50. Figured I would not be out of a lot of money if I don't like it. Also purchased some iClear 30 and ProTanks. I am expecting the SiD to be much larger than the ePower but would mainly use it at home and the ePower at work and out running around. Now will start looking around for post on the SiD to learn how to use it.
