I got some CE2 clearos in today to try them out but ouch, tastes and feels exactly like when I don't have enough juice on an atty. I'm totally clueless about cartos in general so what do you think I'm doing wrong?

I've tested out 100% PG and 100% VG and 50/50 mix and they're all the same; painfully dry.

I've left about 2 hours after completely refilling for them to soak up some juice. Should I have left longer or am I not meant to fill them the whole way?

When I look inside them the wick part in the hole I can see past the seal is black. I'm guessing that's not a good sign. It doesn't taste burnt but it really tastes like they have very little juice on them and it's a painfully hot draw.

I'm so tempted to put a drop or two in the hole in the top but out of fear of frying them or something I haven't yet.

Any help would be cool!

This will be a tongue twister:

A wet wick wicks better than a dry one. If the coil is already wet, it should help the juice flow a bit better through the material.

Also you might consider moving that inner rubber cap with the two indentions on it a bit away from the wick so that the juice has less issue wicking to the coil.

I'm not sure if it's possible? It seems firmly stuck on there. The PG and mix ones are wicking right now I put a drop in there but the all VG one isn't. I'd probably need to give it all the help I can to wick.

All I can really do is manage to lift a little bit of the cap up from the slot in the side near the coil but it doesn't seem to be lifting it at all. Not too sure what you mean.

All I can do is tell you what has totally worked for me over the last 5+ months with clearos - I use these at 3.7v (Boge & Smoktech cartos when using 6v) and haven't touched my attys since I got these - I remove all the silicone including the ring around the cup and use a drip tip (metal dental pick or tweezers to remove cup ring or wiggle the tube off and remove it that way) - no syringe needed, just drip down the side past the cup until full, add drip tip and vape (BTW, if you remove the tube be very careful of the silicone gasket at the base when replacing) - I am getting no leaks and I lay my Rivas on their side without problems but I do try to keep them upright as much as possible - wish I was set up to post a video for proof but you've got nothing to lose if you do this with one of yours - I'm getting great vapor and taste from full until the only juice left is in the wicking - I use 20 & 30% VG in my DIY juices and no wicking probs and I've run 50ml of juice thru 5 of these with a clean and dry burn after each 10ml - these just won't quit -for good video coverage of these, go to youtube and type in DJBizzum - hope this helps

Wow. What a difference. I would have thought that it would flood the coil so fast without the cap snug over it but no, it's even wicking 100% VG with no problem at all. I don't even know why that works but it really does. I was wondering just how on earth I'd manage to get these apart to clean them out if I needed to but that was easy. Thanks a ton for that!
