I received an order of 15 510 CE2 XL clearomizers from Vaporzone.com. Six of the clearmizers arrived with hairline cracks at the base. I'm tempted to try them to see if they'll work without leaking but I don't want to waste juice or create a big mess. Do they always leak?

well if you recieved them like that id try to get ahold of the company and see if theyll replace them otherwise you can try and use them, if they leak you can pull the tube off and flip it upside down or make a map tank, ive also added silicone around the base when i didnt have anything else to vape on...good luck!-))

I did contact Vaporzone. They do not warranty clearomizers but are willing to "work with me" if I package them up and pay to ship them back. Heck with that, they're not worth the bother. Obviously Vaporzone is going on my BAD vendor list.

I don't know what a map tank is, but I'll try either patching them with silicone or turning the tube upside down. That never would have occurred to me, I figured they were glued on. Thanks so much for the tips.

Yes, they can be used and if the cracks aren't to bad they won't leak for a while, but they will leak and the crack/s will get worse. Even if they aren't cracked out of the box they will crack sooner or later, usually sooner. One immediate thing you can do is remove the tube and turn it over, use the top for the bottom, that will buy you some more time with them.

What our ultimately want to do if you want to keep them long term is replace the original tube. I use a 3ml BD Syringe tube, cut it to size and I'm done, much more durable and will last indefinitely. There are places you can buy replacement tube that are said to be more durable. Gotvapes sells them but I have no experience using those so I can't vouch for how long they will last.
