Hey guys, I'm new here and I need help ASAP. I've been vaping for just over a year now and I've got the hang of it down pretty well. I recently bought a kangertech tech turbo clearomizer and I used it with my itaste 134. Everything was fine for about a month, then it started to shock my lips, now when I try to use it the coils don't fire it just emits a high pitch squealing noise and shock me if I put my lips to it. Can anybody tell me why this is happening and if I can fix this? Thanks in advance.

to ecf nemiez. Nice to meet you and so glad you are here. Best place in the world to get reliable information and help from those that care. I am not familiar with that particular atomizer but here is a thread that may help resolve the issue.

Hope it helps, if not I am sure someone will. That is just how it is around here. Like family. So make yourself at home.

Hey, thanks for all the quick replies, so I tried some of the advice. I had just recently taken apart the tank and cleaned it. So I thought it might have been the coils. The strange thing is I tried to fire it on a little ego battery and it worked fine, no noise or anything. I put it back on the itaste though and the same thing happened, so this kind of confused me. If it was the coils it wouldn't work period. And I've tightened them many times to make sure nothing was wrong with the fit. Could it be that the itastes higher wattage is some what to blame here? Also I've tried a different clearomizer on the itaste so I don't think it is the problem. Oh well let me know what you guys think, thanks.

Have you verified that there is no water/liquid in the base (afc) of the tank. This could be shorting out the atty head and account for the issues you've described. Wrap the tank base in a tissue and with the tank base's air holes toward the floor and blow into the drip tip. If liquid is getting on the tissue repeat until it stops.

Got an update, managed to get the clearomizer to fire, not 100% what fixed it but I took the coils out and cleaned them again, this time though I noticed some dirt where one of the coils screwed in. I cleaned that out and it's working now. I also noticed the wicking on the coils had actually fallen out of the assembly. So either of those could be the problem. I've ordered a set of new coils to test it out. I'm really hoping that this is the problem. Really not wanting it to be my mod.

That isn't good to dead short the system, but..riddle me this.
If say that the entire system were electrically charged, wouldn't that put the resistance too high for the mod to handle. It should (In theory) shut down the system long before you even noticed a shock at all. I'm starting to wonder if it wasn't hot sputter that may be to blame. I could be wrong as I'm not well versed in electrical but just a thought.

Either way, replace that cleromizer asap as there is no need to put anything in the danger zone or possible failure point.
