I have a great set of clearos...I've cleaned them numerous times and they still give great performance. The tubes on the other hand...you can guess lol. I recently bought some smokeymizers..and while they work pretty decent on low-voltage batts, i've gotten used to vaping at 4.5...burned taste and dry vapor:blink:! So where can I get some tubes for my clearos? I'd love the heavy polycarbonite that the smokeymizers are made of! I tore one apart to look at how their made..and then cut the tube down to use on a regular clearo. No leaks and very solid!

BD 3mL syringes work as direct replacements for clearo tubes. Find something solid (wooden dowel, some handle...) that will fit snuggly inside the syringe barrel and use a pipe cutter to cut the syringe barrel to correct length. I do this for all my clearos right out of the box now.

Most pharmacies sell syringes, but you may have to ask at the pharmacists counter for them. If they ask, just say that you are using the syringe barrels for a project. You can also get them on ebay, I think.

Part 2:

If you are getting a burnt taste, usually a wicking problem. Check that the cup seal (the seal setting on the ceramic cup where the coil is) isn't pinching the wicks; this is the most common problem.

I think you're talking about a clearomizer...I'm refering to the smokeymizers...where the wick is at the bottom.

Oh, didn't realize the smokeymizers were bottom coils. Same thing can happen with the bottom coils, just a whole lot harder to fix a pinched wick. I had the bottom coil, crap can't remember what GotVapes called it . But you could tear it down, but I had all kinds of leaking problems after that. I don't think GV is even selling them any more. The same thing as what everyone else was calling G4s.

G4s are bottom coil cartomizers. The coil is on the end that you screw into your PV. The CE2s are top coils, the coil is on the mouth piece end. The G4 type of cartomizers are extremely easy to refill; but I like the 'warm' vape from the CE2s, so the syringe filling isn't that big of a negative for me.

I've seen a few people who claim to remove the cup seal on the CE2s and just drip juice down the inside of the tube to refill. I don't trust myself not to lay my CE2s on their side, so doing that isn't really an option for me. Without the cup seal on you have to keep the clearo vertical at all times.

What I've noticed of these CE2s is that they are not very rugged. If taken care of, they are great! The problem I had for 2 of 5 is I tend to not unscrew them and put them in my carrying case when I'm not using them. I've cracked 2 by carelessness where the screwy bottom bit has cracked slightly on the tube. It's still useable but I've not because of minor leakage :( A bit of care to the product and I still think it is the best portable, practical and best vaping solution out there! :)
