Clearomizers and vg/pg percentages

I use an ego style vape with a clearomizer and want to move to a high % vg juice but I've read that it might get gunked up and not work as well. How high of a % vg can I go to keep it functioning well? I've been exclusively vaping 60/40 and 50/50 so far.

Depends on what clearo you're asking about. Most likely have more problems with the lack of ability to wick fast enough to prevent getting burnt tastes.

The most I would use is 50/50 in a clearo. That seemed to work ok in all of mine.

I have a K1 clearo with the bvc coils, and those wick pretty dang fast. I've actually had problems with thinner juices flooding the coils, so now I go for the thicker juices and haven't had a problem. It probably depends on what kind of coils are in your clearomizer.

I have all Kanger clearo's running 1.5, 1.8, and 2.4 ohms and I have no prob with my 65% vg juices

to ecf Tiduk. Nice to meet you and really glad that you are here. Just an awesome place if you ask me. If a juice that is higher in vg is used and is not wicking well, can't you just add a drop or two of Everclear (Pure Grain Alcohol) or distilled water to thin it down just a tad. Look forward to reading the answers so we can both learn something.

A lot of companies thin there VG anyway so it depends on the company if you have any problems. You can always do as Rat2Chat2 said and add a few drops to thin it more. You will never know its in there. I make my own and only use VG so I cut mine at 10% distilled water to start with

Thanks for the info and the warm welcome! This is a Jomo CE4 tank I'm rockin' and it seems to been doin' pretty good with the 60/40 juice.
